Alpha Protocol is an ambitious and entertaining action-based role-playing game, but suffers from several irritating flaws. It offers much freedom and an exciting story, but it's fresh setting of international intrigue only rarely touches on reality and is for the most part unoriginal.

Ambitions delivers plenty of content and new features to The Sims 3, and is well worth a look despite some boring and repetitive new tasks.

Blur is an enjoyable Mario Kart inspired racer with a more realistic driving model and a balanced and surprisingly deep weapons system. There is lots of fun to be had here.

Modnation Racers is an enjoyable arcade racer which will no doubt enjoy a long life due to the creation tools. With shorter loading times and less powerful or more skill-based weapons, it could have been a classic.

Dead to Rights: Retribution is fun, fast and exhilarating. You go from shooting to cracking jaws with your fists in mere seconds, and the mechanics for doing so are rock solid. It slows down at times, but this is still a worthwhile ride.

Nier has one of the best casts ever seen. The constant bantering between the main characters is the perfect supplement to the frantic action where basic sword attacks are blended with massive magic attacks. Every so often Cavia turns everything upside down. Suddenly you'll be playing survival horror, a rail shooter, or possibly even a classic text adventure.

The Whispered World is an incredibly charming adventure game, with lots of quality humour, interesting characters and a story that's more exciting than it seems at first. A worthy buy, despite some weak and illogical puzzles.

Monster Hunter Tri is a fabulously engrossing game with enough meat on it's bones to last a lifetime. It's fun, exhilarating and provides one of the best cooperative experiences money can buy.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is faster and more action oriented than previous games in the series. It's getting closer to a third person shooter, but Conviction has not lost its unique Fisheresque soul. This is great entertainment.

This is pretty much a low-budget version of Gears of War, but enjoyable enough for what it is. Only buy if you can play in coop mode with real human beings, though, because the AI of your squad mates is just dreadful.

Despite some nifty enhancements to teamplay and a great western setting, Lead and Gold somewhat falls through with sloppy weapon physics, lag issues and weird design choices.

Prison Break: The Conspiracy should never have been published. It fails to deliver as a stealth game, and the fighting system is riddled with shortcomings. It doesn't help that the story feels washed up and boring.
