New 'n' Tasty picks up everything that was characteristic about the original PlayStation One game and improves it for a modern day audience without sacrificing its core mechanics. This results in a game that feels modern in both style and form, but still has its roots planted firmly in the past.

Rise of the Dark Spark isn't completely hopeless. The shooting mechanic is alright, the weapons are creative and running around on Cybertron is relatively fun. Unfortunately everything wrapped around the main mechanic is a huge letdown, and the final product feels generic and without any distinguishing features.

This year's edition of Pro Cycling Manager adds some new features, like rider automation, that improves gameplay, and discards some that didn't work properly. It's one of the best releases in the series for a while, and an enjoyable experience.

A surprisingly involving and addictive game, although it can get repetitive at times.

As a means to tell stories based on actual events Valiant Hearts: The Great War works fairly well. The plot is engaging, the characters compelling and the use of World War One as a backdrop is a bold, but ultimately good decision by Ubisoft Montpellier. The beautiful, hand drawn graphics are stunning to look at, and manage to underscore how difficult life in the trenches was. Unfortunately Valiant Hearts isn't able to justify itself as a game. The gameplay is, ultimately, not very interesting and completely without challenge.

Do you want to ru(i)n an island? As supreme ruler on Tropico you can suppress your population, or see your country prosper. Every inhabitant is doing a job, thus it is far more practical if they work for you rather than against you. This small micro perspective combined with the macro management of foreign powers makes Tropico unique. Annoying features of past games in the series are gone. This should be a great game for old as well as new aspiring dictators.

An already great game returns as one of the best space strategy games ever made.

Did I just spend 25 hours transporting lumber and getting stuck in the mud? I certainly did, and I don't regret any of it.

Tesla Effect resurrects our favorite private detective, and lets us explore a new chapter of his spectacular life. All thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game is certainly enjoyable, but it’s not without its problems. We can accept the low production value, but the quality of the story and the challenges are uneven trough the game.

Among the Sleep isn't the horror game many are expecting. It's not Amnesia with a toddler. It's a game with a message, and while it's not always successful I think Krillbite can be reasonably proud of what they've achieved here.

Transistor is esthetically pleasing with a varied and well-made combat system which offers endless possibilities and fun gameplay. Sadly, repetitive parts and lack of challenging and smart enemies makes it fall short in the end.

In the end the ambitions and message of Watch Dogs overshadow any technical glitches or disappointments. Watch Dogs might not be exactly the game we envisioned after E3 in 2012, instead it's a playful and varied action game in an open 3D world dynamic enough to allow the players to create their own memorable moments. The icing on the cake is how the game manages to tackle current events like surveillance on citizens and our willingness to share personal details with the whole world online in an engaging way that makes the player feel and think.

Daylight starts off scary and ominous, but repeating gameplay and enemies makes the game tedious and mediocre by the end.

Despite its fantastical setting in an alternate Nazi-controlled universe, the new Wolfenstein is disappointingly standard shooting fare. A decent action game, but a missed opportunity to do something crazy.

Mario Golf: World Tour simulates many of the elements a golf player in the real world must consider before taking a shot. Wind, weather and terrain affects the ball in realistic ways and makes every shot different from each other. Mixed with incredible graphics, this game will surely please both non-golfers and golf pros.

I wont be suprised if this game boosts the Wii U sales. Mario Kart 8 is as much fun as Mario Kart games have always been, but never before has the world seen a more beautiful game in the Mario series. The innovation that lets players drive upside down doesn't really influence the experience, but this game is sure to provide hours of joy.

It's an engaging and unique game with lots of depth and replayability, but sometimes you feel like more of a spectator than a player.

While not the underdog classic some gamers may have hoped for, Child of Light is an enjoyable platform adventure with a surprisingly complex turn-based battle system. It also doesn't hurt that the game is absolutely gorgeous to look at.

LEGO: The Hobbit is a fun game with a huge, sprawling world, but in the end it's a bittersweet experience, mostly because of the story that's missing.

A solid and emotional end to the series, and a game every adventure gamer should play. But not without having played the previous Blackwell games.

Flawed in so many ways, but it still manages to engage and entertain. Jane Jensen-fans will find much to enjoy here.

Though it could still use some balancing, Warlock II is a highly addictive game that offers a new twist on the classic Civilization-style formula.

It's an intelligent game with plenty of tactical challenges, and if you don't mind the old-school presentation I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun with it.

Hatsune Miku’s first western video game is a fun one, with some great bits of music and a charming visual style. The experience is however muddled by messy menus and stupid mini-games.

All in all, this is a wonderful little game, and everyone who likes strategy and tactics should give it a try.

Old school dogfighting that's best in short bursts. Luftrausers boasts easy controls and retro visuals, but lacks the range and depth to keep you up in the air for a long period of time.

inFamous: Second Son is a lot of fun, with a lot of pretty particles and a few smashing super powers, but the somewhat lackluster story and weird karma-interactions hold it back from being truly great.
