This is probably the best first person shooter you’ll ever play on a handheld. Then again that may not sit will with Metroid purists given the series roots as an adventure title.

Initially the control scheme seems overly complicated; extended play reveals it’s anything but, with the game often verging on the easy side.

The new control scheme is great and needs to be implemented for more third-person action games that seem to feel hindered by whatever control scheme they think they should use.

With the non-existent load times and simple, but rewarding controls, this game feels like it’s been made with the idea of what handheld games need while not ignoring the presentation that the console-like power can provide

Even if this is your second, third, fourth, or even your fifth time playing the game, the new camera angle adds a lot of freshness to the single player campaign. Not just that, but the online multiplayer is really amazing and it is clearly one of the best the PS2 has yet to get on the service.

There is definitely a market for The Outfit, with its fast action and (initially) interesting premise, but it has neither the raw staying power nor the type of epic presence needed to grab and keep the average gamer for long periods of time.

If you have a passing interest in guns, military, the near future, Mexico, or good games, this is a must-own on all accounts. This is the first real system seller for the Xbox 360 and it’s safe to say it’s the first real game of the year candidate.

It's got some nice touches, but in the end, it's too buggy, too cliched, and too uninteresting to come to the head of its class.

Pursuit Force isn’t an incredibly unique experience, but it is a lot of fun.

While this is a great upgrade from the games last year, it’s still relatively unchanged. However, if you’re new to this game, it’s a must purchase and among the best Xbox 360 games yet.

The game can be beaten in one sitting if you're that kind of player, but is that enough to warrant a purchase at full price? Not really, but it surely is worth playing.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja has very little to offer as a fighting game, but there's a decent amount of fun to be had for those who appreciate the license.

The battle system plays like something entirely new, and provides for an actually engaging handheld RPG.

Ounce for ounce, this sequel improves upon its predecessor in every imaginable way, and as a result, is even more delightful. It’s fun, exciting, and beautiful to see and hear.

If you can excuse the inconsistent AI and the over abundance of explosives, Black delivers exactly what you want from it: a fun, fast FPS that will hold a spot in your gaming collection. Just don't expect it to do much more than that.

Its group dungeon crawls are very good, but a total lack of features, slow pace, and low risk-to-reward ratio is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Turbine did an excellent job of bringing the core tabletop experience to an MMO, but this focus costs dearly by making the game neither broad, nor deep.

While there's real potential in the source material for an outstanding game, the gameplay here just doesn't quite deliver.

The best way to describe FIFA Street 2 is ordinary. While the game is not necessarily terrible, it is nowhere near fantastic.

Super Monkey Ball Touch and Roll plays like a chore at its best times, like a death sentence of being eaten alive by chipmunks with dirty hypodermic needles for teeth at its worst.

It's supposed to be a tactical shooter but the inadequate A.I. completely negates the need for tactics. If it weren't for the co-op mode, some excellent graphics and above-average sound, this game would be almost completely forgettable.

Its pure size is its greatest asset, but because it occasionally loses focus, its greatest liability too. Even with the inconsistencies on the ground, the galactic map and thrilling space battles fill in the gaps.

A mediocre action-adventure with an excellent sense of style. If you love hip-hop and spray-paint, you should be playing this game, otherwise, this game is best left on the shelf.

The most engaging and deep strategy gaming yet seen to the DS. While certainly not as immersive as PC strategy titles, this game certainly provides more bang than any available strategy RPGs for the DS or GBA.

The objectives get repetitive after about two hours of play, and that's when tedium starts to set in. The unsteady framerate and soundtrack bug don't help matters much either.
