Code Vein tried to differentiate itself with its anime aesthetic, and at least it partially succeeded in its world building and characters. On the other hand one can’t help but notice that the level design is quite repetitive and disorienting, and the combat system, although with great variety, stumbles in some unfair fights and most importantly in the utter lack of enemy variation.

An excellent expansion that offers a new area with high difficulty and a huge amount of content that will last for hundreds of hours.

An NBA 2K game is once again being plagued by microtransactions that enrage gamers. But on the other hand, the production values, the gameplay and the overall presentation of NBA 2K20 are over the roof, having no match in sports games. At the end of the day, you must be the one to judge if this high quality balances out the cons of the "loot boxes blight".

Greedfall is a huge step forward for Spiders, offering improvements on all levels when compared to their past games. It does fall victim of overreaching with a small budget, having an annoying amount of backtracking and of reused enemies and assets, but it is still an entertaining WRPG in a very interesting setting, full of intrigue and suspense.

Devil's Hunt tries to be a decent game but it fails in almost every aspect. The pacing and the writing is poor, the combat is bland and the graphics look dated. Even as an homage to Devil May Cry the result is, to say the least, disheartening.

Borderlands 3 follows the same tried-and-true formula as it's predecessors, but with refinements. With new Vault Hunters, more planets to explore, new and old character appearances, high replay value and improved gameplay and gunplay Borderlands 3 is highly recommended for FPS fans despite some technical issues.

A game that feels like its 20-year old predecessor, but with improvements and additions that truly make a difference. Despite a constant sense of déjà vu, the shortcomings of the game’s newest playable mode and the framerate issues, Link’s Awakening is a game coming straight from our dreams.

Even though it lacks the technology and the graphics that other modern racing games have, WRC 8 makes it up with a deep and engaging career mode along with superb driving mechanics that really shine when playing with a racing wheel.

Coalition comes back to reverse the reception of the rather unremarkable Gears of War 4. Saying that Gears 5 is an improvement is an understatement, offering possibly the largest campaign of the franchise, filled with diverse and beautiful environments, mature writing and the familiar cover-based gameplay that remains one of the best in the industry.

If you never got the chance to play this game in its initial release this is the best way to experience it. With improved frame rate and visuals, this wonderful fairy tale by Studio Ghibli and Level-5 is one of the most beautiful JRPG experiences you'll find in the modern era of gaming.

The beautiful depiction of the grotesque and nightmarish religious world of Cvstodia is a good enough reason to visit it. If only its simplistic gameplay and almost non-existent progression of the character could match the high quality of its detailed pixel art, then we could be talking about a truly original masterpiece of the genre.

A passion project for its developers, this game has been originally dismissed by the players, but has managed to revive from its ashes due to constructive feedback from the community. Despite its drawbacks, regarding technical restrictions and the underperforming A.I, Daemon X Machina is a game suited to genre lovers and those who enjoy co-op action, and has all the requirements to develop even more.

Children of Morta might be quite predictable and even a bit uninspired when it comes to battling the hordes of enemies, but it nevertheless succeeds in providing a fresh experience for the genre of roguelites. How it succeeds in that? By investing in developing its characters and creating actual bonding with the members of the Bergson’s family, not a mean feat for the genre.

Be aware. MXGP is a well crafted Motocross game, but its difficulty curve and -sometimes extreme- realism are not meant for the inexperienced player.

This came as quite a surprise. Movie tie-ins nowadays are mostly cheap cash-ins, but Under Pressure VR takes the Overcooked formula, gives it a VR spin and, finally, delivers a fun experience that is at its best when playing with your friends.

Remedy delivered a solid action game accompanied by Sam Lake's signature "weird" writing and some great gameplay mechanics. Add to this the superb atmosphere we get from the Oldest House and some amazing graphics -as well as physics- and what we get is a strong contender for Game of the Year.

Α gorgeous looking game full of humor and overflowing with the love and effort from its creators. Its directing and narrative though get quite middling and with its open ending, it feels more like a collection of mini episodes for "Part 1" of a story rather than a complete package.

Even though the formula is similar to the one used in the beloved Until Dawn, Man of Medan suffers from a poor story combined with equally poorly written dialogue. The multiplayer modes are the highlight here, though, so if you plan on visiting the "Ghost Ship" you should call your friends.

Apsulov is a by-the-numbers walking simulator with pretty, mildly interactive environments, the annoyance of stealth sections and a 4-5 hours story. Be that as it may, we can’t deny that we've had a pleasant visit in the amalgamation of sci-fi laboratories with artifacts and environments inspired by Norse mythology.

It’s a game that provides a traditional PlatinumGames experience with immersive, fast-paced and breath-taking battles and a system of exploration that spans the various levels the game’s world can offer. Despite a few shortcomings, Astral Chain is a game that can keep players busy while waiting for the big, upcoming entries for the Switch.

It may have a bit of a derivative level design and non-existent quest system, as well as a questionable randomness mechanic, but it nevertheless manages to excel at the feeling of the weapons and the satisfying impact of their bullets. It’s not a small feat especially considering the welcome variety of normal enemies in addition to the well-designed and more than satisfying selection of bosses. Be advised though to approach it having in mind that is designed, first and foremost, as a co-op experience.

Considering that Darq is the work of –mainly- one person without prior knowledge in game development, it is nothing less than a highly commendable achievement. The dreamy aesthetic with the black and white filter is quite eye-catching and the perspective manipulation never stops to be enjoyable. If only it was just a little bit longer…

Bitlogic has its good moments like turning the lack of jumping into an advantage for the gameplay, but overall it is a game with few thing to offer and fewer to justify its existence today, except the nostalgia. But how can you feel nostalgic with something you never played when you were young?

Wolfenstein Youngblood experiments with new ideas adding RPG, shooter-looter and open-world mechanics to a well-established formula, but ends up being a mixed bag. The gunplay, the graphics and the action are top-notch. On the other hand, the storytelling, the mission structure, its characters and the unpolished co-op gameplay fall short.

With only some new armor and weapons to acquire and a truly boring content overall, Keepers of the Void is probably a waste of time and surely not on-par with the main game.
