A good game that suffers from a few balancing issues in places and some frustration bugs. Nonetheless, still a solid and fun co-op experience.

Demon's Mirror is a good roguelike deckbuilder, though be prepared to keep in mind all sorts of complex mechanics and attacks coming your way, lest your run comes to an untimely end.

While it can be a little frustrating on occasion, as any puzzle game can, Kick and Fennick is a charming little platformer with a unique mechanical twist - well worth a shot, and I’m sure you’ll have a blast.

Waking is a game that attempts to be two very different things, and for the most part, it succeeds quite well. If you’re willing to devote a little bit of time to learning its quirky systems, you’re in for a potentially rewarding experience. An experience which encourages you to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go back into your memories.

If you’re looking for a pretty challenging fighting game, with lots of missions lasting less than ten minutes each, then you’ll probably get a kick out of this.

No achievements and little interaction in the varied H scenes at least don’t take away from the cute art style and repetitive pinball action.

Haunted Lands is a great-looking horror title with lots of pixelated blood and gore. It is very hard; there aren’t many checkpoints, and you will start over from the same spot again and again.

An infinite runner game with a slightly different take on the genre and unlike most, a storyline. Not a mould breaker, but this budget title is different enough to make it worth checking out.

Elemental Exiles is a fun deck-building game with characters that are unique and have their own abilities. Being able to explore locations in any order you want was a cool touch.

Despite a non-existent and samey plot, Hoa offers a great, beautiful experience with tiny details that engulfed me into its world.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby — Party Dash is an upbeat title offering both solo and multiplayer modes. With four unique events to play, there is a lot of quirky fun to be had here.

Senran Kagura: Peach Ball might be lacking in variety but offers an enjoyable pinball experience complete with lewdness that is sure to keep players engaged for hours.

Tick Tock Bang Bang does some interesting things with the time-pause puzzle concept but it doesn’t feel as cohesive and polished as it should. If you are looking for something similar to SUPERHOT to satisfy your first person puzzle urges it’s worth a gander.

Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge is an adorable, cosy game, starring adorable frogs that has you working to save the wetlands. This game makes it feel like you are trying to help and make a difference.

Planet Cube: Edge is a great-looking 2D precision platformer that is incredibly challenging and rewarding at the same time. Due to its difficulty, a lot of players may be frustrated and defeated when they die almost 200 times in an hour to complete only one stage.

I might not have had the same amount of enjoyment from this add-on as I did from the main game, but I would still recommend picking it up, especially as the season pass will net you this, a new glove skin, and a second puzzle pack at a later date.

Kentum has an interesting gameplay loop and offers something pretty unique; however, automating everything comes with its own downsides in the late game.

Short enough to warrant multiple playthroughs, although some of the storylines aren’t quite as well-written as others, Unknown Number is an interesting title that will have puzzle fans jotting down notes and shouting into their PCs to solve some real headscratchers!

Supposedly Wonderful Future has left me considering the events of the game, and whether my moral choices make me a monster or a model citizen. It doesn’t really do much wrong, but if you didn’t like point-and-click games with a heavy amount of text before, you won’t enjoy them after, either.

Dead Format is clearly inspired by classic horror games and film, blending both in a visually striking manner. Though it has room for improvement, the potential is there, and it’s overall a fun time.

Hell Loop is an extremely challenging 2D precision platformer that lives up to its name. You will die a lot and have to replay the same evil sections of stages over and over again.

Whilst these are great games, this isn’t a great collection. With almost no extras, very little tweaking of the games for the Switch and no Super Mario Galaxy 2 this just isn’t quite what I’d hoped for. I’m still enjoying the games, but for many people this won’t represent particularly great value. If you don’t already have the games then get it. If you do, you might want to give it some thought first.

Big Helmet Heroes is simple and does what it sets out to do. It’s a fun time, but it struggles with any gameplay depth, leading to a lack of longevity; I did enjoy my time here, especially with the presentation.

The gameplay loop of Warframe remains the same, but the smooth frame rate and great loading times will be a great benefit to long term console players as they move to the PlayStation 5. If you’re a Warframe fan, you can look forward to a much sharper experience.

As a fighting game fan, having new systems to learn has been great fun and the design of the characters and the world is instantly enjoyable if you like Japanese fighting games and/or anime. With the detailed tutorial and introduction of the Stylish control mode, it’s far more approachable for new players, but the complexity of the story and how little it does to help people jump on quickly may rub people the wrong way.

Sporting more interesting mechanics than you can shake an oversized sword at, Battle Chasers has a little bit of everything from classic turn-based JRPGs for everyone. Even though it loses the wow factor on subsequent runs, the dungeon delving has a lot to offer and can hide some rather sneaky secrets. Not a bad title by any means, only a little repetitive, despite its efforts to be otherwise.
