MilitAnt is offensively bad, it looks like a PS2 game and plays like something a few amatuer developers cobbled together. This wouldn't be an issue if there wasn't a price tag involved. Steer well clear of this.

Defect is a thoroughly enjoyable game that hasn’t changed all that much since I last played it. Designing a ship knowing that you’ll need to kill it later introduces an interesting conundrum to an excellently executed spacecraft toolkit.

    FRU
FRU delivers the game that the Kinect needs to remain as a viable device. The clever set of mechanics that are on offer means that if you have a Kinect currently gathering dust, you owe it a game of FRU.

What we have here is the definition of cash-grabbing and at £40 you’ll be as braindead as the ghouls ingame to buy. The release is obscenely catered towards parents or grandparents who would buy this for their child/grandchild because, it’s all the kids are talking about these days.

Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo is crude and simple, but manages to passably provide an enjoyable Genesis inspired Bullet Hell game.

Ghost 1.0 is a great game with a great visual style and interesting story and characters, that has moments of huge frustration because of the insane difficulty increases.

Dangerous Golf combines the classic Burnout Crash mode as a nostalgia driven, explosive golf party game. Visually it’s very impressive, but the overall experience borders on glorified tech demo.

A charming strategy game with a retro presentation that is a lot of fun to play. Let down a little by not being that adventurous in its level design and feeling a little spammy. For the price it’s a strategy title worth taking for a spin.

Collecting all my favourite characters in one game and letting me mix and match them in combat is great fun, but doesn’t last - especially when I chose to stop playing the story mode halfway through due to not wanting to spoil the experience of reading the manga. The combat too is not one of CyberConnect2’s greatest offerings, with the fighting feeling far too loose and disconnected - completely the opposite of their last JoJo game, All Star Battle.

The controls are really slick, with the feeling of isolation very much apparent. But, the pace of the game accompanied with its limitations do weigh heavy on Breached.

The ideal game for the LEGO geek or geekette and you are never too old to play with LEGO as it says on the box 4 - 99 years old.

As a fighting game fan, having new systems to learn has been great fun and the design of the characters and the world is instantly enjoyable if you like Japanese fighting games and/or anime. With the detailed tutorial and introduction of the Stylish control mode, it’s far more approachable for new players, but the complexity of the story and how little it does to help people jump on quickly may rub people the wrong way.

Tick Tock Bang Bang does some interesting things with the time-pause puzzle concept but it doesn’t feel as cohesive and polished as it should. If you are looking for something similar to SUPERHOT to satisfy your first person puzzle urges it’s worth a gander.

It’s a fun and rewarding experience given the difficulty that it brings due to it’s 90s platformers inspiration. However, for the price, you could do a lot worse...

Poly Bridge is a title that will thrill those who enjoy the genre - it has very few flaws and a lot of playability. Cute, creative and challenging, it's a thoroughly enjoyable title.

If you’ve been harkening for something like Limbo, that isn’t Limbo, then take a peek at Monochroma. It’s a little frustrating to start off, but once you’ve got the nuances down then it all starts slotting together. As Nowhere Studio’s first title, I can only see their future games getting better as they go.

Valentino Rossi The Game marks a significant leap forward for Milestone s.r.l, it has created an excellent MotoGP experience, managing to capture the career of biking legend. This is a must buy for fans of The Doctor, and anyone that likes bikes!

It looks good, it feels good, but a lot of this game doesn’t quite sit well with me. Lost Sea is a slow-starting but otherwise functional Roguelike that I’d definitely recommend – just remember that NPC abuse is wrong.

Vanillaware have done a wonderful job of bringing Odin Sphere up to date whilst still keeping what made it so endearing originally. If you are after a combat focused game with a compelling setup and a beautiful, painterly aesthetic you really can’t go wrong with Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.

Blood and Wine held all the components to make a great final adventure, but failed to truly capitalise on any one of them. If you’re looking for a good final experience to cap off your monster hunting career, go finish Hearts of Stone again – this one’s rather underwhelming.

Frustrating controls, boring game play and a lack of incentives to keep playing mires an interesting concept. Cannot recommend this one, especially when there are so many good space games of all genres out there at the moment.

It’s really fun and challenging, but unfortunately, due to the crazy loading times -- and the fact I know the graphics could be better -- I have to give it the score it deserves, rather than the score I want to give it.

N.E.R.O. fails at generating an exciting or mentally challenging experience, but it really doesn’t try to. This visually stunning title places a great emphasis on its narrative, which is both uplifting and devastating – you’ll be thinking about this one for a long time afterwards.

If you’re a die-hard fan of Deadlight, then you probably don’t even need to read a review to know whether or not to buy it, you’ll just do it anyway. For everyone else, this is an average game that has been surpassed in the years since it came out. There are far better 2D platformers available. You can give this one a miss.

As much as the title is memorable and is certainly a bit of a giggle, beyond this we get another forgetful short lived game. Visually terrible and on-par with the likes of a mobile game, Super Duper Party Pooper is another fun for a few minutes time-waster that’s eventually flushed away among your other forgotten steam games.

All in all, Heart&Slash is a fun brawler rogue-lite with a quirky and charming presentation, it has a good sense of humour and a lot to offer fans of both genres. The unique elements it brings to the table definitely make the genre more approachable.

Take Off – The Flight Simulator may not visually be all that comparable to flight sims on the PC market, but when it comes to the mobile device market, Take Off definitely comes under one of the better flying game experiences out there on the iOS app store.
