While this game attempts to break new ground, it failed to hold our interest[].

The game's intensity grows overwhelming sometimes, especially when timed secondary objectives get piled on top of trying to hold ground against unending waves of Soviet armor. But the amazing graphics and engaging single-player campaign, which deals with the brutality of war, will keep players coming back to keep up the fight.

The lack of the PSP's brilliant multiplayer mode hurts. Still, if a PS2's all you have, by all means, snag it.

The game lacks a hardcore presentation to go with the theme, but that's only a small issue, since this is definitely the best SingStar to date.

It's by no means perfect, but with an enchanting story, a fairly unique combat system that is both real-time, turn-based, and gorgeously colorful landscapes to traipse through, most players will find more than enough in the roughly 30 hours of play time to justify the $60 purchase.

Some more intricate skateboarding tricks would've been nice (such as reverts and lip tricks) and the city could've used some expansion. Those aside, Skate avoids the bail and lands stylishly on its wheels.

Despite the strong presentation and excellent voice acting, Kratos and his mythological pals have nothing to fear from Heavenly Sword. The game doesn't quite match "God of War"'s sense of pacing, character control and after plowing through another room of identical enemies, button-mashing until your thumbs are sore, you may eventually lose the urge to see what's around the next corner.

EA did a superb job, and you need to play this game, whether you appreciate the sport or despise it.

The cars lack weight and the multiplayer mode needs more content, but overall, players should enjoy this attractive and intense racing experience.

While not everything works well (particularly the small tracks and the insanely difficult artificial intelligence), it is better than expected. The graphics look very good, especially the water effects.

Subpar graphics, sound to match, clunky controls and near pointless battle combos are just a few of the problems plaguing this sorry excuse of an Xbox 360 game.

With very smooth controls, outstanding 2-D animation, a sweet rock soundtrack and plenty of modes and fighters to tackle on your own or with friends, this game packs more than enough value to make up for the $30 beating your wallet just took.

We dislike the PlayStation 3's choppy frame rate (the Xbox 360 version moves faster), but overall, EA delivers an addictive game of hockey that'll keep you entertained for months.

There's not really much of a game here, with no goals and too few songs to choose from. The inability to record vocal performance hinders it, too. It's still worth jamming with, though, so find a seat.

We don't like the story, save for the talking banana aliens (fo fanana), and the whole peg grabbing stuff doesn't light our fire, but Jungle Climber is a cute, simplistic adventure game that anyone can get into, and the addition of four person multiplayer adds to its banana eating appeal.

The gunplay works great and the presentation definitely carries Woo's signature style. It's the quintessential action game experience, even with its weak multiplayer option.

The multiplayer mode feels tacked on. Rather than come up with new and innovative stuff, EA offers the following game types: Team Deathmatch (highest score wins), Team Deathmatch Airborne (slightly better, with the Allies parachuting in on the Axis team) and Objective Airborne (essentially Capture the Flag).

It certainly looks amazing, and the epic soundtrack fits the game's fantasy theme, but Lair suffers from repetitive missions, cheesy voice acting and choppy animation. Fighting for ten minutes, dying and restarting from the beginning gets old real fast, and the cookie cutter story failed to hold our interests.

The retouched graphics shine, thanks to cute animated characters and explosive effects. The gameplay is the real attention getter, however, with addictive combo-building gameplay that works both off and online.

Options like the hotseat multiplayer turn out being a massive waste of time. Lastly, the expansion doesn't integrate very well with Medieval II, with each campaign operating like a stand-alone, multi-part, Total War scenario.

As for the gameplay, it does just enough to outdo previous Gundam games, though its repetitive nature won't please everyone, and the lack of online play hurts. Still, it does offer a few hours of robot smashing fun.
