With all of its original game design, multiple game modes, and creative level design, Mercury just oozes with style, and is a must own title for anyone with a PSP who enjoys a game that challenges your mind and your reflexes.

For a party of friends – either local or online – Spy vs. Spy would make a great weekend rental, but gamers looking for substance in their action platformers would most likely be disappointed with Spy vs. Spy.

With a little more work, this game could have been exceptional, but unfortunately, it stops its ascent to greatness with simply average.

The gameplay is slower and more intense than Tom Clancy’s roster and no less authentic or compelling in its presentation.

It’s rare and quite refreshing to come by a game that is so unique in every aspect, with such complex characters and such a great story, that I feel the same sense of satisfaction that comes with reading a good novel when I play it.

Whether you are a kid, have a kid, or just a kid at heart, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is a definite most-own title.

The game we were all hoping Doom 3 was going to be in the first place. It just took a few more months and the help of Nerve Software to get there. The difficulty is much higher now, but with the added power of the double-barrel shotgun and the innovative uses of the grabber, plus the insanely cool artifact gameplay balances out nicely.

You don't play Doom 3; you experience Doom 3. I was reminded of those haunted mansions or "dark rides" they have at theme parks with all of the scripted scares.

It's involving, at times surprising, and vastly entertaining throughout. The tight controls, the amazingly large skill set that Sam has, and the carefully woven tale of double-crossing and high-tech terrorism all combine to make this game one of the best spy-fiction titles available anywhere.

It doesn’t get much better than this folks. Regardless of whether or not the online is just a rehash of the last, or that the levels aren’t quite as large as the Xbox’s title, and even if the co-op is only split-screen – Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is the best of the best on the PS2.

Chaos Theory has perhaps brought the series to its finest point, with improved graphics, A.I., more open-ended gameplay and a host of multiplayer additions.

If you are looking for a great military game set during the Vietnam War then I can rattle off a list of about four great games and three good games. Unfortunately, Elite Warriors: Vietnam will not appear on any list other than war games to avoid.

For everyone else who has at least one friend with a PSP and a copy of the game, this is a must-own title that will keep you locked in the throes of classic auto-combat until you, your PSP, or you car runs out of gas.

As long as you have a spare battery or a power outlet handy Tiger Woods PGA Tour is still a fantastic game, and easily the most realistic simulation of the sport you can play on a handheld. It manages to capture and bring over just about every element from the console version and pack it into the palm of your hand.

An amazing port of the PS2, perhaps the best port of any major title to a handheld yet. Considering the nature of the control scheme I was impressed that the designers managed to keep this game functional and fun to play.

I had fun playing the game, which is all that really matters. Some missions were frustrating, but the generous continue system helped repress some of the anger.

Not only is this an amazing game, as far as games and MMOG’s go, but it is also a unique storytelling experiment. One that has never been attempted before and one that I am extremely excited to be taking part in.

Presents a solid, yet no-frills, racing experience that would have wowed audiences a year or two ago. In 2005, however, it will surely give games a few days of fun – but not much more.

Easy to pick up and impossible to put down (except to flush the toilet), you'll be totally hooked from the moment you pick this game up until the day you "think" you've mastered it, and even then your quest for perfection will compel you to keep playing until the day you die.

Ok, so I get a little geeked out over TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. It’s easy to see why though, and besides who really wants to run around as a marine who can’t even tape a flashlight to the bottom of his shotgun?

Next to Sony’s ATV game, NFL Street 2 Unleashed is probably the best port, or at least the port with the least changes, to make the jump to the handheld.
