A pretty sweet game. I just hope that Krome and Sierra will succeed in their experiment to bring a new age of gamer to the once-cutesy character. If not, this might be the last Spyro we ever see – and that would be a shame.

It's too complex for most people to ever enjoy, and if you want balance look elsewhere. But for better or worse, it is the game's only real claim to distinction, and it isn't bad, once you've figured it out.

There is plenty of challenge, good graphics and great story and style.

While I was really impressed with the implementation of the Lockdown Stick and Floor General play calling, I was turned off by the sub-par graphics, robotic animations and otherwise glitchy visuals.

Gorgeous graphics, an amazing soundtrack and fun, lighthearted gameplay combine with some of the best cartoon story scripting and voice-overs to bring an immersive and highly enjoyable racing experience to the PS2.

This is one of the few titles that I’ve ever felt really bridged a gap between cinema and games. There are just so many things about it that make you feel like you’re watching a psychological thriller as opposed to just running around in a virtual environment solving puzzles.

Even with its limitations, Nancy Drew: Danger by Design is a decently entertaining, albeit short, mystery adventure game with a diverse assortment of easy to moderately challenging puzzles.

Call me crazy but I really loved this game... maybe more than I should, but keep in mind I grew up with this game character.

If "Kingdom Hearts'" battle system hadn't sucked, it might have played a lot like this game.

Mass Effect: Infiltrator isn't much of a companion piece to the new console game, but rather an independent action shooter that uses some familiar designs and set pieces from the console series. There is very little role-playing and even less story, but if you crave a challenging action-shooter that's all about stylish combat that mixes weapons and powers and top-tier production values then it doesn't get much better than this.

With the scope of this title, the online support, the unmatched replay value-Hearts of Iron II should keep the most hardcore of strategy gamers satiated in fighting, researching and leading their respective nation to the top of the food chain.

What really sets it apart from other Simpsons games is that behind all of the quick wit and polished voice acting lies a very, very good game.

The extensive training tools will drastically improve the game of any lower-level player who is willing to learn.

Spider-Man Friend or Foe does a fantastic job bringing back the enjoyment of the pre-film tie-in Activision Spider-Man titles. The storyline is great, the presentation is top-notch, and other than a bit of repetition, the game is a fun romp for the whole family.

The cryptic and eerie story adds to the title's appeal and will draw you in almost immediately. If you are looking for the next step in innovation, look no further than The Experiment.

Enjoyable despite its few warts, and is one of the better surprises of the year so far.

A decent movie-based title and is pretty fun to boot, especially because the mishmash of different genres provides additional variety. It's fairly easy to learn and play, so kids and new gamers should be able to pick it up without too much frustration.

There is still a lot of fun to be had with Halo 3, mostly for veterans of the series, just don't try to convince me that this is the end all be all of FPS gaming. Gamers like myself who have already seen and played "the future" will likely dismiss this old-school gameplay and move on to the far more visionary titles that are just around the corner.

I would recommend Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs to just about anyone looking for a totally fun and moderately challenging gameplay experience with all of the flavor and style of the Ice Age movies.

This is the game that "FIFA 07" should have been. Despite the little annoyances, this is the best soccer game on the 360.

All in all, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a pretty solid title. With all the modes there are to do and the added online play I had plenty to keep myself busy.

The races are perfectly timed and even the design of the game seems geared for the PSP making OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast much better on the handheld than the major consoles.

The varied gameplay of each mission keeps things interesting, and the overall look of the game matches well with the movie.

Manages to capture the spirit of the films and packs a ton of combat and action sequences into a good old-fashioned adventure game. The puzzles are mindless so check your brain at the door.

The fact that Pirates is not based on the movie works to the game's advantage...The player is free to follow his own path with no preconceived notions.

A great action game, especially for the Xbox since we didn’t get "Devil May Cry," and Otogi: Myth of Demons is about as close as you can get to this style of carnal gameplay. For fans of the Spawn franchise, Manson fans, or fans of Goth-horror in general, this is a no-brainer.

SHRED is an excellent candidate for this year's "family gift".
