The cooperative online and local multiplayer modes are long overdue and a huge asset to making this game last well beyond the solo campaign. The cooperative campaign mode is so much fun that you might never even play it by yourself.

An extremely well done shooter as far as the action goes, and only suffers from a few flaws such as the lack of level and enemy variety. If you can overlook those flaws, you will have a lot of fun battling a very elusive AI, which makes each and every firefight a unique and exciting experience.

I had low expectations going into this review so imagine my surprise to find that PAIN is not only a great and totally addictive game, it is probably going to be one of the biggest guilty pleasures in everybody’s PS3 library.

This is a comic lovers dream come true; the perfect marriage of comics and video games, and with so many comic-inspired games already out and more on the way, I can say without reservation that Ultimate Spider-Man will rule them all with ultimate gameplay and ultimate style.

The staggering difficulty and blazing visuals may overwhelm the casual gamer - it took me two days to get to the second boss, but anyone who takes the time to master the binary gameplay model will find a deep strategic shooter.

Frustrating at times, but totally original and completely hilarious throughout, Shadows of the Damned is one of the cleverest, naughtiest, most brilliantly constructed games I've played this year.

That said, however, Pixeljunk Shooter 2 is an excellent game. With a fresh graphical style, tight controls, and innovative gameplay, it's everything a downloadable game should be. While there are some minor stumbles for the more casual, puzzle-oriented player, that shouldn't discourage anyone who's curious from picking it up.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway does an fantastic job of bringing all the intensity of war to your Xbox with a great blend of FPS action and tactical leadership, all the while creating and weaving an emotional tale of comradery that only a group of men thrust into the horrors of war can share.

There is definitely potential for much more, but what’s on offer is more than worthy. It’s fun and intense all the way through. And on PS2, no shooter can graphically compare.

Puzzle Dimension is a highly enjoyable experience that is remarkably beautiful and totally engaging with its challenging puzzles. The puzzle designs are ingenious and sometimes frustrating, but once you solve them its instant gratification. This is Doctor Entertainment's first release and if their next one is as stunning as Puzzle Dimension I will definitely be on the bandwagon. I highly recommend picking up Puzzle Dimension for some pure fun in a dimension all its own.

For Dead or Alive fans, Dimensions is a sort of collected archive, with lots of characters and stages that have all appeared in previous titles. There isn't a whole of new stuff technically, but it is all so expertly executed on the 3DS, that you really don't mind. And the way newcomers are eased into the combat, it really makes it a Dead or Alive for everyone. This is one of the strongest releases yet for the 3DS yet, and definitely one worth picking up for any fighting fan. And if that didn't sell you on it, there may or may not be an unlockable stage featuring Ridley from Metroid, which is just plain cool.

Carbon is another great racing game for the 360 and it’s awesome to think that in just one year our beloved console has already seen two of these games.

There are issues with controls, gameplay and graphics.

Happy Feet Two is easily the best movie-inspired game of the holiday season…perhaps the entire year.

Whether you are looking for an action-focused single-player war game or a fantastic multiplayer experience that rivals those Tom Clancy titles, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a masterful bit of game design.

Since the game is fairly open-ended as to how you play it and which side you choose, you could easily play this game all the way through a few times before you ever started feeling tired of it.

The puzzles are not terribly hard but a few of require a little thought, though help is available if you desire it.

With Grand Slam Tennis EA has set a new standard for motion control input, tennis games, and Wii games in general.

Resurrection of Evil doesn't fare as well on the Xbox as it did on the PC. The grabber is awkward and imprecise, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't required for some battles. The 16-person multiplayer of the PC is now limited to four and the entire multiplayer package just isn't as robust as the PC.

There is something that is totally addicting about participating in a multiplayer band, whether you are all in the same room or joining up with fellow rockers online. And if you are an aspiring musician or music producer, or like to play around with mixing boards and experiment with creating your own music, the Music Studio is a totally original addition to World Tour and sets this game apart from any of the competition.

An excellent expansion pack that does exactly what it sets out to do; it delivers more monsters, more weapons, more tarot cards, and exciting new levels to explore and interact with.

Puzzle Quest uses a very good balance of the puzzles and the RPG theme to create an overall well made game that is interesting and yet challenging.

After the initial jaunt though, visiting old locations gets repetitive and dull.

If you love a good western then GUN has all those clichéd moments with Indians, stagecoaches, trains, gunfights, jailbreaks, and everything else that has become a staple in western lore.

It’s always nice to get something original on the PS Store, and even though Crash Commando might not be new in concept, the game design is flawlessly executed and the sheer addictive nature of the gameplay and slick online access makes this a must-own PSN title.

Soul Calibur IV is the ultimate evolution of the franchise to date, with gorgeous visuals, solid controls, immersive sound, and a deep character builder that will keep you involved with this game for months to come.

The AI is admittedly lacking making this a game that is best played with friends, either online or off. However you play, Fight Night Round 3 is the best recreation of boxing ever made.

Easily one of the best XBLA games out there. Sure, it doesn’t have the staying power as the totally addictive (and online) UNO, or the intensity of mind-blowing visual shooters like Mutant Storm or Geometry Wars, but this is a great effort that uses a totally new 3D engine to create a unique world, creative and challenging puzzles, exciting boss fights, and a hero for a new generation.
