It's more clear than ever that Sega doesn't know where to go with Sonic. The game tries to do a lot of things and end up failing at most of them. Those of you who want a great platformer for the Wii U should just pick up Rayman Legends or wait for Super Mario 3D World.

Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force continues the Star Wars pinball saga that Zen Studios set out to create with the first game. Available either as an expansion to that, or the core Pinball platform, this expansion delivers three imaginative tables. All three feel solid, different and in their own ways - challenging. Filled to the brim with Star Wars fan service, it's hard not to like it, but there's already a hint that Zen is starting to run out of ideas.

The most gripping storytelling a game might ever have produced combined with one of the most basic and boring gameplay I have tried makes for a very strange experience from a critics point of view. Indie game designer Jason Byrne has showed us what storytelling in video games is supposed to be like. The small world in Lone Survivor is full of mysteries, a Twin Peaks-esque atmosphere and the occasional laugh. The only downside is the shooting mechanism which feels misplaced, clumsy and could have been skipped all together.

A brave restart of a game that arguably should've never been made. For a series primarily resting on the solitary player experience, it manages the transition to a multiplayer environment beautifully. There's enough content, races, classes and things to do to keep both new players and old MMO-foxes occupied for a long while, and all of it well realised with the worldbuilding skills of the Final Fantasy teams.

Rain is the latest game out of Sony Japans PlayStation C.A.M.P.-initiative, and it's the one most focused on story-telling. Through a rainy town, an invisible boy searches for a friendly face, an invisible girl. Through narrow alleyways and abandoned factories, the quest to banish loneliness and isolation goes on. A touching, moving and sublime beauty hangs over Rain, and the story delivers quite an impact.

Tales of Xillia doesn't so much innovate as it does refine the stable foundation laid by the previous games, at least not from a gameplay mechanics standpoint. Where it really shines is in the characterization, the world building and the mature, dark story. A clever, great looking and very genuine experience that belongs among the very best downloadable games ever created.

Iron Galaxy Studios resurrects two of the most beautifully crafted 2D fighting games ever, and does so with grace. Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 3 are still unforgiving and difficult to learn, but well worth the time investment. Solid netcode and lots of extras sets the bar high for HD conversions.

Lego City Undercover is a bold new direction for the Lego series. In many respects it is a successful first try, but there are quite a few technical mishaps. The open world concept needs some work, the load times are horrible and the lack of co-op is very disappointing. The game-play is still as simple and entertaining as ever though, and some of the missions and puzzles are among the greatest in the series.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 is an incredibly charming game that despite some issues with online play and a bit of repetitiveness manages to offer a very good experience.

A joyful and intriguing experience. I love how the developer trusts my instincts and completely lets go off my hand right from the start. Super cute creatures and wonderfully warm environments makes it a particularity good choice for the younger audience.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a broken, horrible game. It's so bad that I almost feel sorry for the developers, who tried to make a sequel that is bigger, better and prettier. Unfortunately they failed miserably and gave us a game that's inferior in every way.

The idea behind Survival Instinct seems temping enough, but the final product is a disappointment in every possible way. This is simply put a licensed game at its worst. If you're faced between being eaten by a zombie and playing this game, choose the first option.

Comfortably familiar game-play contrasts against badly written and possibly fan-upsetting story. A bit too buggy and repetitive and loses much of its charm when playing without a human partner. Sadly, the best parts by far are the mask-painting tool and the possibility to play it with a friend.

Impire is an RTS dressed up in the clothes of an dungeon builder. Even though the initial presentation is appealing, the lack of interesting mechanics sets it up for rather monotone and dull game-play in the long run.
