The Playstation 2 version of Sonic Unleashed is not the return of this character to its glorious days that fans wished for. It’s a mediocre title although it contains some positive aspects. Meanwhile we advise fans to go with the versions for the new generations of consoles.- Eurogamer Portugal

Tomb Raider Underworld is specially made for the fans because the game’s minor problems will not bother them. Still, is a different experience from the other games we can find right now and, nevertheless, it can be considered like one of the bests in the series. Unfortunately, this isn’t what we really expected. Despite, anyone who loved Legend and Anniversary can be happy with this one, because the fun is still assured.- Eurogamer Portugal

In a broad perspective it will always be said that Lips doesn’t add much to the musical/Karaoke genre in which Singstar came out with success a few years ago. Mostly these are equivalent titles that are quite alike bur Lips is a successful bet for the Xbox 360 and a good starting point for future initiatives.- Eurogamer Portugal

Metal Slug 7 is a possible game for Nintendo DS but it’s very far from the “true sequel” the fans have waited for so long especially since the third version is considered the vertex and pinnacle of all “shooters”.- Eurogamer Portugal

Football Manager 2009 gets to us with some improvements which grant qualities to this series although not everything is perfect especially in its new 3D engine. This engine embodies some flaws but it’s welcome anyway because it shows Sports Interactive tries to introduce new developments in a style that has not much space to evolve. FM2009 is the highest exponent in this genre and it manages to surpass its previous version as well as it raises the goals to achieve to its more direct adversaries.- Eurogamer Portugal

Left 4 Dead means fun and adrenaline in its SinglePlayer mode or in the phenomenal co-op Multiplayer, where only the lack of some more options blew the chances to seek new highs. It's like drugs, once you have it, it's impossible to drop. L4D is especially dedicated to all FPS fans who love pure and non-stop action.- Eurogamer Portugal

For the second year in a row, Need For Speed: Undercover is not able to reach the so wished and awaited level. Although it is a good game it doesn’t stand out among the others of its genre like some old titles of these series being Most Wanted a good example of that. Thus it’s better to go with Burnout: Paradise or even Midnight Club: Los Angeles.- Eurogamer Portugal

Despite of not showing one of the bests Fighting Systems, the game is still compared to any of the Ed Boon’s franchise, surfacing other games in terms of graphics or sounds. Still, the game can’t offer a solid experience like the ones that have inspired MK vs DC. Any fan of each (or both) Universes will certainly enjoy this game because Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is made for the fans.- Eurogamer Portugal

Yet and as it was said in the beginning SWS is a game that feeds a great expectation and aspires to be one of the best in this category offering a good set of mountains (although the structure of the game is somewhat similar in every set) but ends up taking away from the experience sometimes quite funny due to the constant repeat of backtracking not so usual in these situations.- Eurogamer Portugal

Mirror’s Edge isn’t just an incredible game it’s an outstandingly “outside of the box” experience. It’s amusing, attractive, intuitive and above all it is very rewarding. The campaign itself doesn’t win in the longevity aspect but it is capable of hooking the gamer with its beauty that sometimes seems like a riddle.- Eurogamer Portugal

If this whole concept sounded interesting to you and if you can already see in your mind the endless hours of fun you will spend tuning up projects to the last bit there is no shadow of a doubt that this is a quintessential game. With this said Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is such a broad experience as you could hope for and the dark humour that seems to scrape on the surface of childish wont amuse everyone.- Eurogamer Portugal

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is a quiet good game in terms of variety and quantity. Although, it lacks in quality, because there are too many situations needing some corrections. It’s all in the right place, we simply have seen it before in that same place.- Eurogamer Portugal

In the end, WWE is a more complete game compared to last year`s edition. Road to Wrestlemania is a mode that makes you live the spirit of North American wrestling and on the other side the gameplay is refined, allowing exploration of the moves, that are now more diverse. Fantastic animated sequences in a superb visual, with full licenses in wrestling, something hard to find in a rival game. A good option for fans of the genre.- Eurogamer Portugal

Different difficulties, with the option to replay any chapter of the game on the chosen difficulty, lets us take the desired entertainment from this Gears of War, should it be a running through the fields killing spree without any special precaution in the lower difficulty, or a fight for the strategic upper hand on the higher ones. Many different modes -online, two players or solo- and a frenetic game experience justify the interest in this title.- Eurogamer Portugal

EndWar is one of those games that with some more time and commitment could reach the higher level of quality. There are graphic flaws as well as flaws due to the involvement of the player in the story and these only take away from the quality of this game by Ubisoft.- Eurogamer Portugal

Quantum of Solace is an FPS that could be just another one among many but it distinguishes itself with its third person action elements and in the way that it captures the essence of the secret agent. It should appeal to 007 fans and for them it becomes a source of entertainment that joins two passions, the taste of the films and videogames. If you are a James Bond fan and if you would like to relive the films then this game is for you.- Eurogamer Portugal

Resistance 2 is not perfect but it is one of the best games I`ve had the pleasure of playing on Playstation 3 and this generation, there`s no way around it. The score does not mean perfection, it refers to the quality of the game that lets it distinguish itself from others in the genre. The epic campaign would be itself more than enough to secure a high score but Insomniac gives us cooperative and competitive modes that raise the game to a superior level. Resistance 2 is a epic that should be alongside any Playstation 3.- Eurogamer Portugal

More than reinventing a game, Bethesda could assure a desirable evolution. In a world devastated by the war, the beauty of the entire environment is the greatest step in Fallout 3.- Eurogamer Portugal

Motorstorm Pacific Rift is tagged by the lack of a Single Player experience capable of offering a desire for replayability. The game offers a good sense of brutality, velocity and chaos, but the multiplayer experience is the best of all.- Eurogamer Portugal

For a younger player – the target audience of this game- this simplicity could be seen as an advantage. A main feature to point out is the fact that the whole game is located to Portuguese (some translations are dubious but nothing that distorts the sentences or the game) an attitude from Electronic Arts that is worthy of compliments.- Eurogamer Portugal

Despite projecting a tendency for high speed, only after the intensive adaption process to the turning and cornering is conquered coupled with the disposition to go through many falls will players be able to achieve some fun and compensation. Guitar Hero: World Tour is not just one of the most important games of the series but probably the most important for it could establish a before and after as it also assumes the same responsibility as the genre itself. The days of solitude are over (unless you don’t want them to be over) because now Guitar hero becomes the most enjoyable way to socialize bringing the worlds of videogames and music together.- Eurogamer Portugal

Far from brilliant, Web of Shadows is a weak game in practically every aspect, the repetitive scheme combined with the camera and gameplay problems mean this game has no glow. Lovers of linear FPS`s and those with aversion to exploration of wide sceneries - as if you were a boy scout - may not find fun in the huge world of Far Cry 2. Still, the fun multiplayer alongside the very complete and intuitive map editor, may justify this game for those who do not like the solo mode.- Eurogamer Portugal
