A lack of sparkle in Battlefield 3's campaign is offset by engaging and addictive large-scale multiplayer battles that have few equals, along with a co-op game that is thoroughly enjoyable while it lasts.- Digital Spy

Avowed is full of consequential player choices, meaningful side content and rewarding exploration all backed up by slick movement and some of the best combat in a first-person action RPG. It might not reinvent the genre, but Obsidian has achieved everything they set out to by creating a super fun adventure worth your time.- Digital Spy

This is probably the greatest tribute and iteration of Spider-Man ever created, computer game or otherwise. This is an essential play for any fan of the wall-crawler, however a few niggles and issues prevent it from being an all-time classic title. There's a great story, beautiful graphics, excellent voice acting and simply lots of fun to play. There's lots of DLC on the way and potential for sequels, so we'll definitely get caught in this spider's web again.- Digital Spy

Discover University is a generous package with plenty to do and experience, but the biggest appeal lies in the way higher education is integrated with the rest of the game to provide further storytelling opportunities for your Sims. This expansion is another success in what has been a very strong year for the franchise, and is particularly worth considering for players who like to come to The Sims for realism narratives.- Digital Spy

While Viewfinder will leave you wanting more, it is one of the best and most unique in the genre to come out in some time, with gameplay that never gets old as it repeatedly finds ways to surprise and impress. Whether you're a casual puzzle player or have experience, Viewfinder deserves a spot in the photo album of must-play titles of the year.- Digital Spy

Puppeteer may not be perfect, but it's easy to forgive any minor gameplay transgressions when you have a title as beautiful and entertaining as this. Overshadowed though it may turn out to be, Puppeteer is worthy of a standing ovation.- Digital Spy

It's a bit pricey for an endless runner, especially considering that there is only one environment to run through, and it's mostly interchangeable with just about any other Temple Run clone out there, but this is also the best Sonic has played on a smartphone yet.- Digital Spy

That is the dilemma of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition. What is there is fun, but incomplete; with each purchase there is an investment of trust that Minecraft will grow and evolve on Xbox 360 as it continues to do on PC. Of course, those venturing into Minecraft's world for the first time would never know that pieces of the puzzle are still missing.- Digital Spy

Despite feeling instantly familiar, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes isn't just more of the same. It improves the core gameplay of the series, adds new features and characters, offers a long, engaging and well-presented story and swaps the hub area for a visually rich and fun-packed Gotham City to explore. There are issues that need addressing in the open world, but this is still the best LEGO game in the franchise so far.- Digital Spy

Many of Darksiders 2's key ingredients have been borrowed from elsewhere. The dungeon crawling from Zelda, looting from Diablo, and the oversized bosses wouldn't look out of place in Shadow of the Colossus, but Vigil Games has weaved these influences together into an original and varied package.- Digital Spy

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is unlikely to earn the same level of acclaim the original garnered in 2005, but it's a welcome addition to PSN. While you'll find better platforming and first-person shooting elsewhere, the way this one merges the two still makes it feel fresh seven years down the line.- Digital Spy

It's a game that, I think, is newcomer-friendly and a good starting point if you've ever wanted to give the series or the sim racing genre a go. There will obviously be more to like for car fans, but this also comes across as a polished title that's considerate towards newer players. I've enjoyed the hours I've spent with Forza Motorsport, and I can see myself going back and playing some more.- Digital Spy

Overall, the Modern Warfare 3 campaign feels like it might have been rushed in terms of new gameplay developments, as well as narrative payoff, although there is a helluva shock in there for fans. It feels like it needed more time to evolve what's there, which is always going to be hard with a yearly franchise, and perhaps not allowing Modern Warfare the customary two years off for development made it harder. Personally, I was left with mixed feelings – but I should also add that I don't have nostalgia for the original game like so many do, and Rebirth feels like a game specifically designed for fans of the original in the passionate way many of the moments, arcs and locations are depicted and fleshed out here. I enjoyed spending time with the core characters, the world-building is impressive and the soundtrack is truly superb. I had plenty of fun with the battle system as well. However, I found the narrative pacing poor and the open-world elements often tedious. The game is stuffed with minigames yet their quality is inconsistent, and there were late-game segments that I found to be a slog.- Digital Spy

The Labo Vehicle Kit once again proves what ingenious toy makers Nintendo are while largely improving on its predecessors with a better thought-out game experience packed with additional modes and compatibility to make it viable for extended experimenting and party play. Just like with the motorcycle Toy-Con from the Variety Kit, you'll even be able to use the car Toy-Con with Mario Kart 8, though this update has not gone live at the time of review. The only conundrum left to unbox then is where you're going to store these afterwards.- Digital Spy

How everything comes together is a wonderful surprise. Crystal Creations manages to over-achieve and mix up the game in an interesting and engaging way, while also remaining comparatively affordable. Is it our favourite Stuff Pack to date? Very possibly. If it's not, it's close. Between this and Home Chef Hustle, the developers have more than delivered with its recent Stuff Packs, and it goes to show that it doesn't matter how big or small the idea is — as long as it's done well.- Digital Spy
