Though the fights do lack in variety and the number of boxes is kept at a minimum, the overall style and presentation of the game more than makes up for it.

While the game suffers from some rather terrible camera problems and the adventure itself isn’t overly interesting from a storyline sense, the gameplay and action is fast, furious and fun.

Similar in style to games like "Devil May Cry" and "Max Payne," the Matrix lends it's unique style of martial arts and fighting to create an experience which can only be considered to be exceptional.

If Neversoft is doing what I hope they're doing, and that is using THUG as a bridge towards a lot of fully realized ideas then Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 6 is going to be damn awesome.

Soul Nomad isn't necessarily going to blow your mind, but if you want a change of pace in terms of SRPGS, well, this is easily the game to pick up at your local retailer.

Summon Night isn't the best role-playing experience ever created, but it still manages to be a fun time and one that you'll enjoy long after you're done playing it (literally, as there are two main characters to play as and a total of eight different paths through the game).

It quite simply didn’t surpass the original in the place it should have: length.

An absolute blast to play. The only issue I have with it is that, even with all the side-quests (excluding your gold hunt) the game is rather short. Everything else is superbly set together.

Completes the R-Type legacy and does so with an incredible mixture of graphics, sound and gameplay… and if that’s not enough, how does unlocking over 100 different playable ships grab you?

Ultimate Ghouls 'N Ghosts never once attempts to make you feel good about yourself as a gamer, never once tries to encourage you by giving you an easy level and then offering up some demon level from hell. No — instead, it encourages you to fight harder, fight smarter and most of all, do your best and that is why I'll continue to pursue the series.

Fantastic. While not many improvements were made over the original Golden Sun, the Lost Age proves that you can remain true to the original formula and still be succesful without changing much.

I played it for a long time and I never really got used to some of the control issues - not that they make the game un-playable, obviously, far from it - they're just nagging.

Predetermined outcomes notwithstanding, everyone can enjoy crazy feats of strength and acrobatics. And seriously, in our 80's-culture-obsessed world, who doesn't love at least a little cheesy acting?

Guild Wars: Factions is a standalone game instead of being a true expansion pack, so you get 4 character slots and 8 profession to choose from. Luckily, owners of both campaigns can bring over the original 4 character slots and 2 additional ones in Factions.

The lack of a story is offset by the addition of tons of ass kicking - and sometimes a good ass kicking is more satisfying.

Despite being an RTS game made for a console, Halo Wars succeeds where most others have failed. While the game is missing just a few elements that could have really launched it onto another level, Ensemble Studios really poured their hearts and souls into this game and it's evident.

Online Chess Kingdoms isn't perfect, but it's one of the best video Chess games I've played to date. While the move library isn't as diverse as, say, Chessmaster, it is still intelligent enough to put up one hell of a fight.

I won’t deny that this game is the veritable oddball in the Final Fantasy family – the guy at the table with numerous facial tattoos and body piercings – with the rest of his family being straight laced and true to the expectations of society – but that is why I enjoyed it so much.

Sure, there is a lot of redundancy, but as I said earlier, everything you do within the game will pay off in the end. Make that old man proud and make that farm into one of the best!

In the end, Sims 2: Castaway is one of the more entertaining Sim titles to come out in a while and you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not giving it a shot. It's certainly not a stereotypical Sim title and almost anyone can pick this game up and give it a whirl.
