A universe of drifiting and cornering, accelerating and power-steering, peppy music and decent graphics that, while worth a visit from time to time via a rental ticket price, it's too unrewarding and punishing a formula for the hardest of the hardcore to plow the cash for.- DC Swirl

I think it's the second best DC racing game released this year (behind the internet-friendly "Daytona USA" and ahead of the overhyped "MSR").- DC Swirl

Rent it like I did, beat in a couple of nights (it's about 4-5 hours long if you rush through it conserving your ammo/gas and avoiding the respawning Deadites) and mourn the butchering of yet another promising movie franchise in a videogame that fails to do justice to its cool characters and interesting plot.- DC Swirl

$40 is just a tad too high an entry fee for a GD-ROM that doesn't even let you compete head-to-head offline in Classic Tetris fashion. Would it have been that hard for Blue Planet Software to add such a simple mode?- DC Swirl

What Bang! has is a maddening challenge that'll frustrate more than amuse those that play it, as well as some of the prettiest graphics I've ever seen in this type of space shooter (much better than "Starlacer" or any of the "CW" PlayStation titles).- DC Swirl

It offers what other better-looking racers hint at, but have so far failed to deliver on Dreamcast: fast, playable and competitive head-to-head racing against four other players via online connectivity that seldom lags or gets disrupted.- DC Swirl

It also comes with a degree of difficulty that flirts with "Thrasher"-like degrees of insanity, but is offset by lots of gameplay modes, some dopey humor and decent (but not outstanding) graphics.- DC Swirl

I can also recognize a niche quality product when I see and play one (even if I don't particularly like it), and Coaster Works is definitely a unique-enough title to be worth the attention of the few fanatics that will love every minute of the design process.- DC Swirl

The ultimate remake of what has been done before but with the benefit of technology making everything look prettier, cleaner and fancier, not to mention a minor tweak or two to things that were so good the first time around they weren't worth messing around with.- DC Swirl

"Evil Dead: Hail to the King" and "The Ring: Terror's Realm" weren't anywhere near as fun and interesting as going through the predictable motions of a survival horror game that was designed FROM ITS INCEPTION to be replayable.- DC Swirl

Mechner's consulting and a reasonably complex and lengthy challenge make this PC port an amusing (if flawed) middle-of-the-road "TR" clone. If you can live with its numerous flaws, give it a try.- DC Swirl

The real problem with the game is not the online elements but the design itself.- DC Swirl

It's neither horrible or stellar, but it's got enough issues with the perspective and the control to drive anyone but the most dedicated "Q*Bert" fan berserk with frustration.- DC Swirl

Let's hope that, if Lara just happens to be alive (care to bet?), her next Dreamcast adventure won't be handicapped by being shared with an inferior 32-bit system on its way out.- DC Swirl

While most will find this game's story to be a little weaker than that of the superb "Colony Wars," the online play and solid mechanics make it a definite game to check out for fans.- DC Swirl

The biggest flaw with the game is it's insane difficulty. We're talking "MDK 2" like difficulty. So bad it will have you either frustrated before you can get past the first mode or so mad at the cheating AI that you'll stop playing after a few races.- DC Swirl

With much to unlock, loveable characters that many generations have grown up with, solid control and music that is very fitting, Infogrames couldn't have done this game much better.- DC Swirl

The Grinch, the anti-"Rayman 2", a 3D scavenger hunt so unappealing and unrewarding (not to mention confusing and boring) you'll be wondering what you saw in it to begin with (besides the obvious tie-in to the movie).- DC Swirl

Aside from the cool TV-style graphics and CG character fonts (identical to the one's ESPN used to have about half-a-year ago), the final game is as disposable and empty a sports experience as watching "ESPN Sports Reporters" every Sunday morning- DC Swirl

As a first time player of Resident Evil I found very little to dislike about the game, except for that I would like to have seen less puzzle and more action, and that's me being nitpicky.- DC Swirl

Only recommended on DC for those who are willing to put up with its mediocre look or who must keep the little one in the family from holding his/her breath until he/she gets it. Life's a bitch when you're a parent, isn't it?- DC Swirl
