Skate 3 is an (almost) perfect skateboard simulation. It eliminates many failures of its predecessor such as the bad walking controls. The skating is easy to learn and the create-a-park editor extends the experience. Well done!

Why do cars, pedestrians and the menu structure still have to be so annoying? Nevertheless it’s a great sequel and arguably the best skating game out there.

Looking for errors in this game is pretty hard, but the sluggish controls and small AI quirks prevent Empire: Total War from scoring perfect. Still, it’s a feast for every strategist.

Crash and burn! Split/Second is action-packed and furious fun with a cool 'Powerplay' feature making it possible for you to cause gigantic explosions. This is the legitimate successor of Burnout! It's only obvious weakness is the spare multiplayer mode.

Dawn of Discovery is very complex, but has a boring campaign. The interface is a bit confusing and there is no multiplayer mode. Still, it’s a great strategy game but not as good as the predecessor.

Brütal Legend comes with many cool ideas and a great soundtrack. Nevertheless, the boss fights could be more challenging and the controls are sometimes annoying.

Even though it couldn't quite hold up to our expectations, Mafia 2 is a great game which is driven by the narrative. This is a big plus in a gaming world where deep, believable characters are the exception, not the rule. If you want a truly cinematic experience, go out and buy the game - you won't be disappointed.

No doubt – Mass Effect 2 for PS3 is one of the best RPGs ever made. But compared to the older X360- and PC-versions, the differences are minimal.
