Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a modern RPG masterpiece. Despite coming from a new studio, it combines strong storytelling, captivating ambiance, engaging combat, and a creative progression system. Sandfall Studio surprises by delivering such an ambitious, deep, and artistically consistent project. With a spectacular soundtrack, memorable performances, charming visuals, and refined mechanics, the game easily makes it onto the list of the best of the year. If you enjoy RPGs and are open to experiences that challenge the traditional, Clair Obscur is a must-play.

Steel Seed tries to be exciting in several aspects and fails in all of them. Through a weak narrative and shallow characters, this science fiction is marked by more mistakes than successes.

Post Trauma is an ode to classic survival horror games from the PS2 era, such as Silent Hill, Haunting Ground and Rule of Rose. Its nostalgic identity offers a striking setting that represents the genre very well. However, the excessive attachment to certain outdated mechanics compromises the combat system, especially with firearms — which perhaps didn't even need to be present.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves represents a return to form for the franchise. With refined gameplay, expressive art direction, a striking soundtrack and charismatic characters, the title cements its place among the great fighting games of the generation. Despite minor mistakes in the menus and EOST mode, SNK demonstrates competence and boldness in modernizing the series. City of the Wolves pleases old fans and new players alike, delivering a solid and fun experience.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is a game that precisely blends the best of Metroidvanias and Souls-likes. With a well-told narrative, intense combat, powerful ambiance and an evolution system full of possibilities, it delivers an experience that goes far beyond expectations.

The PlayStation 5 version of Indiana Jones and the Grand Circle is a paragon of excellence. It’s visually impressive, offers solid technical performance, and provides genuine fun. It also maintains everything that was brilliant about the original release and stands out for its careful porting. A memorable game, now available to almost everyone. All that’s missing now is the Switch 2 version.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls delivers an exciting fighting system that faithfully represents the universe created by Tite Kubo. Combat is the highlight here, offering depth, rhythm and impact. However, the game suffers from limitations in game modes, a lack of relevant competitive content and a visual presentation that is below expectations. The feeling that remains is that of a missed opportunity.

South of Midnight is a game full of potential, with stunning aesthetics, a memorable soundtrack, and a deeply engaging protagonist. However, its technical issues, flawed localization, limited combat, and disappointing ending prevent it from becoming the memorable experience it promised to be.

Atomfall bets on concepts we saw in Elden Ring with a fragmented narrative and high exploration. Its exploration is the great core of this experience that brings with it annoying problems from recent Rebellion games.

KARMA: The Dark World is efficient in delivering an intriguing narrative and a tense setting. However, your role as a player is far below expectations in gameplay and is limited to interacting in the scenarios.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a game that understands the essence of Souls-like games, but brings its own identity. Its combat system is deep, the pace of evolution is well balanced, and the narrative manages to be engaging without giving up the freedom of interpretation. With some performance adjustments and refinements in graphic details, it would be a milestone, but it easily enters the list of greats of the genre.

Assassin's Creed Shadows features two characters who are opposite in essence, but complementary in their objectivity. Naoe, the Shinobi, Yasuke, the Samurai. Stealth vs. Brute force, both working together for Revenge and Order of a new Japan. Historical characters help to illustrate and brighten this narrative. Good combat gameplay and new mechanics contribute to an excellent game, which like every Ubi game, has some bugs.

Sorry We're Closed pays homage to the horror classics of the PS1 era while making that its main virtue. With creative mechanics and a striking atmosphere, its only flaw is its less than captivating narrative. But even so, when it comes to playing it, it's fun.

Split Fiction is the clear evolution of a genre that has been little explored and that became memorable in It Takes Two. Hazelight once again proves that they master cooperative games and their mechanics, and see you, the consumer, as the core of their work. And so another classic is born.

Monster Hunter Wilds delivers a highly fun experience. Unique monster designs with jaw-dropping behaviors and reactions to the environment, excellent art direction, and a fantastic soundtrack. The good old hunting mechanics to craft weapons and armor remain the most addictive element of the game, but there are caveats in the texture of the game and elements such as the menus, which could be more intuitive.

Ender Magnolia is an interesting sequel to Ender Lilies, but it doesn't change much of what the first game did. It's a metro-divania that doesn't dare to do much, amplifying the concepts of Ender Lilies and its gameplay, with a very rewarding exploration.

Civilization 7 brings strategic changes, a focus on multiplayer, and fewer eras. Progression is more rigid, and the interface can be confusing. Still, it remains strong in the 4X genre, despite its limitations. Although many of the new features may arrive via DLC.

Sega and RGG Studios are once again successful and show that they understand the path of making many games in the Like a Dragon franchise with high quality, even though the technical part, such as the graphics, requires care in future releases. The return of Goro Majima is excellent and in a game full of good ideas with quite a lot of content.

Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is an exciting start to Don’t Nod’s return to narrative adventures. Its excellent story, linked to the good use of the 90s theme, is enough to be captivating in this first episode. However, the game suffers from significant performance issues.

Avowed isn't super innovative, despite being Obsidian's most ambitious project. The game has a more balanced proposal, which combines a classic gameplay style, reminiscent of the good times of Skyrim, combined with good exploration and different styles of weapons to fight with. However, it stumbles a bit due to the lack of rhythm, repetitive and uncreative enemies and a story that could be better.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force delivered on their promise. The combat is addictive and challenging, not just a button-mashing session. The narrative offers mixed feelings, but the appeal of the gameplay is enough to recommend that you give it a chance. The gameplay of Dynasty Warriors Origins is a delight and the highlight of this new game.

Square Enix managed to do a good job with the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth after some mistakes on the platform. It's still not an exceptional job due to the lack of graphical options and performance, but overall we have a port with incredible graphics, far above the PS5. The definitive version of Rebirth is on PC without a doubt.

Dreamcore has an interesting idea and even presents good executions in terms of visuals and sound design, but the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired. The emptiness of the scenarios, the monotony of the exploration and the lack of elements that really engage the player make the game frustrating and not very fun. Unfortunately, it is difficult to recommend this game unless you are a big fan of the genre.

Mark of the Deep is a title that shines in its purpose, delivering beautiful visuals and an engaging soundtrack. However, the lack of innovation in gameplay and the difficulty limit the game's potential a bit. I recommend the game to players looking for an immersive and relaxing experience.

Eternal Strands is a game with an uninteresting narrative, excessive dialogues and repetitive missions that leave much to be desired. However, the gameplay inspired by titles such as Breath of the Wild and Shadow of the Colossus stands out, especially in the battles against the Arcs, despite technical issues such as the camera and unbalanced combat. Visually, the use of Unreal Engine 5 is impressive, but the exploration design lacks depth. A title with ups and downs that could shine on Game Pass.

Robobeat is an innovative rhythm FPS that combines rogue-lite mechanics with music-synced gameplay. Developed by Inzanity, the game features an engaging retrofuturistic narrative and strategic challenges. The difference lies in the choice of songs, which function as classes, adapting the play style. Although it has limitations in enemy variety and button mapping, its accessibility and vibrant aesthetics make for a unique experience. A bold bet that redefines the rhythm genre.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is a respectable port. Nixxes did an incredible job, maintaining all the fidelity of the original game and bringing excellent improvements. But we should always remember Insomniac's excellent work on the PS5 as well. The only problems are the occasional crash and some FPS drops, but nothing that can't be fixed with updates.
