A few drawbacks in the game won’t stop you from enjoying this in-depth strategy game and pouring an exorbitant amount of time into propelling your Lord to the top of the Feudal food chain.

Phantom Pain is a game you can sink over 100 hours into and still come back for more. Even if you haven’t played past Metal Gear games, Phantom Pain is a great place to start.

Super Mario Maker is a game that has nearly unlimited potential, but may be slow out of the starting gate. It will take some time for many to get on board.

It certainly is a solid game – albeit a short one at 3 levels – with a more deliberate, rather than twitchy, pace that will appeal to a certain slice of the gamer spectrum. For others the boredom may set in very quickly.

Placed alongside Endless Legend’s previous expansion, ‘Guardians’, Shadows is similarly priced and has a lot more to offer in the way of content. How that content is introduced to the player could use some work, but the amount given is neither too much nor too little.

Disney Infinity 3.0 marks a return to form that was lost from 1.0 to 2.0.

The clunky controls, combined with a ghost town of players to actually play this game online with, really works against this title.

Despite its shortcomings, Super Toy Cars really is a lot of fun, and a breath of fresh air from a very under appreciated genre. An obvious labour of love.

Like the movie, Mad Max is the perfect summer time romp and should surely wet your appetite before the true Road Warrior inspired game releases later this fall, Fallout 4.

Forza Motorsport 6 is the definitive sim/circuit racing experience that is accessible to all levels of racers on the current generation of consoles.

It’s has an interesting story, a plethora of puzzles that need to be solved (regardless of either being too easy or difficult at times), and is simply fun all the way to the closing credits.

There are hours of replay-ability in the Adventure and Bowhemoth modes, tons of unlockable content, and of course hours of fun online or local multiplayer.”

While the story may be inane, and the lack of even cartoon logic behind character action may be at fault, it’s an inane story told very well.

Nothing has really changed from that original 2012 version in this version here. You are getting the same game fully and completely that Arkane released with that promise of a bit more shine and polish.

Sadly though the game only boasts four levels to play on and even though these take you from the depths of Atlantis to the top of the trees on the Island of Spirits, this small variety is disappointing.

While the Slayer Edition may not be a huge time sink, it’s still a lot of fun and a great co-op experience.

Party Hard is a very simple and fun title, but it becomes quite repetitive after a while. The randomization of levels is supposed to help with that, but there’s simply not enough variety to keep it engaging for long periods of time.

Corpse of Discovery is a big idea sporting the trappings of a little game – though a great concept with loads of philosophical waxings, the game mechanics and aesthetics just don’t match the heady, cerebral premise and subject matter.

It’s an homage to a game that I absolutely love, and Renegade Kid did some truly commendable things here. On the other hand, I didn’t get much excitement from exploring its worlds

The game is very focused on the essence of platforming which is good for dedicated fans of the genre, but might seem a little repetitive for a wider audience.

Overall, The Bridge gets by well on its unique influence, style and on its difficulty. It’s a perspective bender that will leave your brain hurting and really challenges you in the puzzle solving genre.

This is the purest recreation of these games to date.

I really loved battling through the various maps and tackling a pretty difficult campaign. On top of that, there are more than a few ways to replay it and one mode designed to have you checking in every day, which is something that isn’t outside of the realm of possibility given how much I liked it.

Overall, I am quite happy with this year’s installment in the Madden NFL franchise. While the changes may not be as sweeping as we have seen in the past, Madden NFL 16 feels like the most complete Madden I have played in well over 10-years.

DiscStorm is an inoffensive piece of work made by a small team of independent developers making their debut release. Compared to other multiplayer games at this price point, DiscStorm doesn’t really do anything to surpass its competitors. It’s a thirty second YouTube magic trick, presented as a ten minute live show.

Gears fans, as well as those new to the series, will be satisfied with this “Ultimate Edition” offers, as it’s way more then just an HD remake.

While Until Dawn lacks complex gameplay, it counters with compelling characters, astounding visuals, and a thought provoking storyline. A masterful fusion of art forms, Until Dawn is a refreshingly self-aware experience that no thriller fan should pass up.

Fans looking for a fighting game with deep gameplay that rewards mastery of game mechanics best look elsewhere. Fans of the characters that just want to run amuck with them for awhile should be pleasantly diverted. At least for awhile.
