There are a couple of very ingenious puzzles, but these are few and far between. Often you find yourself wishing you had to do something more interesting, as the game gets repetitive.

Maybe wrestling and rap will suit you more than me, or maybe it won’t.

Leaps and bounds more interesting than its "Iridion 3D" neighbor, the new Gradius offers a ridiculously large amount of options and weapons keeping the classic gamers happy with a true sequel, while satisfying newcomers with a title belonging to a genre almost forgotten.

From the prospective of an Olympic game to play, this is a great choice for any kid, or even for you if you’re on the road a lot and get in plenty of Game Boy time.

The problem with the gameplay lies not in the mechanics, but rather the objectives. I literally got frustrated. I couldn’t figure out what I had to do at times because the objectives were too vague.

The graphics and sound are largely pulled from the Game Boy Advance game. So we're running some graphics far below the GameCube's level.

The cool thing about the online mode is that you can join games already in progress.

Rather than something new (I’m really yearning for mechs that are a bit easier to control) it’s just the same thing again. Fans of the original will love it, but it’s not really reaching out to a new audience at all. I’m not seeing a lot of innovation.

One cool thing about NFL Fever 2004 is the ability to save the game whenever you want. If you’ve got to run out for a bit and don’t want to leave the system on, you can save your game in the middle of the quarter.

Good, not great.

The graphic engine doesn't seem to have been touched, nor does the gameplay engine.

I love Sonic. The problem is that Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is only about 33% Sonic. The rest is lost in mindless Tails and Knuckles levels that pull the rest of the game down.

This is about the hardest game I've ever played. Rarely do I get frustrated at a game, but I found myself constantly pausing this game and walking away to blow off steam.

Feels a little recycled with a brand new name. Not bad, but could have been better.

Not great, but good with an imaginative storyline, spectacular graphics and a soundtrack that keeps you excited throughout the levels.

It’s not that the racers become increasingly difficult, it’s just that the game gets so much faster. Later in the game when you’re on a higher difficulty, it is almost impossible to tell where you’re going, and normally by the time you see a wall, you’ve run into it.

Now, once you get into the traditional elements of the RPG such as battle, the comedy continues. While the zany names get old, as well as the dialogue, the game is pretty funny overall.

May be one of the easiest golf games I've ever played.

I like the idea of a simulation driving game but I just don’t think it’s feasible. Confining it to one car hurts the game’s replay value.

Making it more difficult is the fact that it felt to me like the Xbox timing was just different enough from the Dreamcast's to make it annoying.

Quite simply, the game offers nothing that you can’t get in the other games, and can’t have a better time getting in the other games.

The problem is that the game was taken from its original close quarters setting and brought to a more open setting. Something about it just doesn’t feel right.

Changing the gameplay system is a step in the wrong direction though, and really takes away from what could have been the best wrestling game yet.

While outdated, it’s still the best (only?) 2D fighter for the GameCube, and worth a rental.
