The story is old hat, the telling of it is pretty lame but overall it serves as a good enough excuse to get into a giant robot and blow things up.

Heck, even those that are an older audience will have a hard time faulting the game, for its presentation and scope of gameplay are quite nice.

The presentation has some clever and fun touches, and frustration and blemishes not withstanding, fans of both puzzles and the macabre should definitely give the game a look.

Darksiders Genesis isn’t a bad game. It has a lot of potential to it and there are some things it does well. I especially liked the twists to its story. The problem is that it is pretty clear it didn’t get the same level of attention as its predecessors. Elements of its design makes it feel like corners were cut in an effort to get things done as efficiently as possible. This can mean some platforming segments are difficult to get past and a little perhaps the puzzles could have actually been challenging.

Nancy Drew’s console debut doesn’t make a huge splash, but it’s solid enough for fans that aren’t into PC gaming to take the series for a spin.

This is an action-RPG that offers more than just addictive loot gathering, and that's something we don't see enough of.

This game is almost strictly a multiplayer experience. As such, you're not getting a whole lot of value for your money. That said, the competitive online play will be worth the price of admission for many.

Every remark, battle cry and slash looks, sounds, and feels authentic to these characters, especially Wolverine and Sabertooth. This game will definitely put you in the spandex of your favorite spandex slasher, which by the way is not the manliest of looks.

Even on the easiest setting Ultimate Ghosts ‘N Goblins is designed to tease, torture, torment and transgress. In other words it’s #%$&*+! hard!

There is a multi-player mode but it’s not online and it requires that the other players all have their own copy of the game. Not a great selling feature.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate performs at its best when not feeling obligated to recreate the Arkham games before it.

Overall, the best way to play WWE 2K14 is the 30 Years of WrestleMania single-player mode on a moderate to low difficulty. This way, the opponent won’t counter you much, and you can lose yourself in the classic WWE footage and storylines.

As far as adventure games go, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures has yet to eclipse Telltale's previous efforts with Sam & Max and Strongbad, but there's still hope the next two episodes will deliver on this series' promise.

Powerboat GT is a great looking game, and its beauty balances out its mediocre points.

With a few new functions implemented into its old gameplay style and graphics, the Fatal Fury series is complete for PS2 owners who want the entire Neo Geo collection. For true classic fighting gamers and fans of the series, you now have the option to play online with a number of titles on one disc. For those less appreciative of fighting games of yesteryear, you may not even be interested.

I can only recommend this title to Guitar Hero enthusiasts that feel the band side of their collection is sorely missing the tracks included with this release. Everyone else out there could just as easily hold out for Guitar Hero 5, or wait for Smash Hits to hit the bargain bin or used section of their favorite game store.

It doesn’t advance the adventure genre very far beyond tradition, but hunting a vicious murderer and solving puzzles along the way is mostly satisfying.

It's a fun and more complete alternative to Wii Sports tennis. Being able to move the character with the control stick is huge.

The four-player mode is a great addition and will certainly beef up the replay value.

If there's one area where Blood Stone is a bit disappointing, it's that everything that it does, while well-made and thoroughly polished, is fairly basic.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies is a game for the old school hardcore gamer that loves to push himself to the limits. It is a game that is best served in short doses, but each dosage is an incredible experience of psychedelic gameplay that is both frenetic and engaging.

Despite the Marvel vs. Capcom brand power, the Capcom portion is absolutely the most important, but this time feels like it’s fetching Marvel’s coffee. But this isn’t a kitschy mobile game, it’s a Capcom fighter, and that Means Something – and I can’t shake the feeling that the Marvel Machine doesn’t care.

Despite its flaws, The Cave is a unique experience that explores a genre that few other games on the market dare to touch.
