Ravenlok isn't deep or lengthy, but it's a brief, dreamy foray into the wonders of voxels. It may not last long, but it's a looking glass worth going through.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd cleverly uses the roguelike genre to its benefit in creating a game true to the comics while still being fun to play for fans of the genre.

With boring combat and a limited custom campaign toolset, Sword Coast Legends fails to capture the spirit of a true pen and paper role-playing experience.

For the most part, Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden is fun and simple with creative visuals that is good in short playthroughs.

RemiLore gets the mechanics for a fun dungeon crawler down, but does little to hold a player’s attention.

The platforming elements are completely tied into its puzzle system, so to appreciate the game, you’ll have to really love this one element of the game’s mechanics.

Drag x Drive is a novel take on wheelchair basketball, one that takes full advantage of the Joy-Con 2 controllers. While limited by an overall lack of content, the game still creates a good foundation for the future.

Synduality Echo of Ada has an addictive value at first, but needs to add more content and customizability to maintain concurrent player base.

Where We are the Dwarves fails to deliver is mission balance, plain and simple.

Despite bringing all the content for its plethora of releases, Payday 2 simply needed a touch more polish to truly feel at home on the Switch. If OVERKILL continuously supports this version of Payday 2 like it supports its PC counterpart, I see a vivid future where rare random framerate issues, unresponsive AI, and blurry textures can truly be a long forgotten memory.

If you liked the original Crackdown and want basically more of that, then you’ve found your game. If you want a modern first party AAA game, look elsewhere.

I Hate This Place has some interesting ideas inspired by its comic-book origins, but its moment-to-moment gameplay is dull at the best of times and deeply frustrating at the worst.

Endless Ocean Luminous occasionally has some interesting moments, but it squanders its potential with tedious gameplay and a boring sea.

Metal Gear Survive is neither a good Metal Gear Solid game nor a good survival game. It feels more like a cynical cash grab due to being not only the most expensive survival game on the market, but also how flagrantly it peppers in the microtransactions.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League falls significantly short of the truly fun experience I had hoped for. Despite a story with potential, the game is bogged down by monotonous gameplay and intrusive live service elements, detracting from what little fun there is to be found in the game. This game, unfortunately, represents a missed opportunity to build on the legacy of Rocksteady’s previous successes, leaving much to be desired in both execution and innovation.

Combining some fun mechanics unique to surfing the waves and a little gunplay to keep your opponents from getting too close, Kandagawa Jet Girls offers a compelling racing experience.

I would totally play a game that is just the audio processing from this game. Everything else is a tedious glitchy mess.

Though updated ever-so-slightly, Biomutant remains the same unenjoyable game I played back in 2021. This mutant REALLY should have stayed in the Ooze.

Return to Moria, from Free Range Games, is a fun experience for fans of survival titles and Lord of the Rings. It takes some of the better systems from the genre and marries them to the lore and setting of Moria, the result of which is a world that fans can be excited about.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a mess of a game. It’s a glitchy, ugly, poorly acted, and terribly written game, while clearly wishing it was something else. There are moments of fun to be had, but they’re too far apart to really be worth it, especially when you can just play a game that it’s emulating.

Unfortunately, like many of Nintendo’s attempts to capitalize on nostalgia, Mario Party: The Top 100 feels like a party Nintendo threw for themselves and blew the entire budget on banners, cake, and confetti. They forgot to spend on the one thing that makes a party worthwhile: the entertainment.

Wanting to bring something new to the Blair Witch lore, the game took a giant swing at a story it had no business trying to tell. Though it has some decent scares and mechanics, strip the “yikes” of a story away and you’re left with a basic linear game full up with bugs.

Late Shift is okay as far as FMV games go. The production value is decent, the acting isn’t terrible, and the story is interesting for the first playthrough. However, the lack of real choice and the ability to skip scenes is its biggest weaknesses. If you’re really hankering for a “choose your own adventure” FMV game with actual consequences I suggest you find a copy of Return to House on Haunted Hill on DVD or Blu-ray. While it is a subpar horror film, it at least had the guts to let characters die early on.
