Directive 8020 isn’t a bad game, but it feels slow and repetitive. The universe is interesting, the atmosphere often works really well, and some sequences are genuinely effective, but I wish the game was more dynamic, more tense, and above all, scarier. It’s a survival horror experience that still lacks the polish and mastery needed to become a true standout in the genre.

The Precinct is a fun game with a lovely '80s feel. It's fun to play a cop in an early GTA-style experience. But the game lacks pace and remains repetitive overall, with gameplay issues, particularly with aiming. A game that remains cool overall.

South of Midnight is a beautiful tale, with truly charming artistic direction and a neat gothic universe. It offers effective gameplay but unfortunately remains stuck in classic and repetitive mechanics, especially during combat, even if the boss encounters stand out. Its story nevertheless manages to keep you on the edge of your seat and we have a very good time, accompanied by the sublime music of Olivier Derivière.

Hellblade 2 is truly magnificent, superbly produced, it offers a distressing atmosphere as possible, extremely careful and rarely has the sound design of a game been so impressive. In addition, Melina Juergens' performance is particularly notable and we want to follow Senua's journey. The problem is that overall it's quite boring: the fault of the repetitive puzzles and the long and completely useless fights which weigh down the whole thing. It's sad.

Alone in the Dark is a good game, typical of 90s horror experiences. We find the intention of the original game from 1992, with a particularly careful atmosphere, a gripping story and good old-fashioned puzzles, even if we find the same mechanics quite a few times. Too bad the fights aren't enjoyable to play, that's the big negative point of the game, much more boring than certain dated aspects. In short, Alone in the Dark 2024 is a good old-fashioned horror game, with a lot of charm, which manages to seduce even if it does not live up to the original. At the same time, it's difficult to hit the mark for a horror game in a world where Resident Evil 4 Remake or Alan Wake 2 already exist.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League offers a gripping story with strong characters but is partially spoiled by repetitive and uninteresting missions! The game is fun in co-op, we enjoy playing because the gameplay is nervous and satisfying but the progression is so boring that we come away mostly disappointed. Rocksteady's game will not leave an impression like Arkham did unfortunately, and it's a shame.

Flashback 2 is not bad, far from it, but it does not live up to the Flashback legend even if the intention is the same. The feeling of the 90s is there and we have a nice atmosphere, it's often pretty and a lot of good memories come to the surface but the game lacks polish, we have technical problems, game design too and there are a lot of bugs that spoil the overall experience, in addition to a lack of variety in enemies. A game stuck in the 90s which could have been great but which lacks polish.

Lords of the Fallen is a good souls-like but it doesn't do everything right! Its neat universe with strong artistic direction and its fine level design do not completely save the whole thing! The bosses are not striking, even too predictable, and the levels full of trash mobs, often recycled, get boring very quickly because we are drowned in enemies, which increases the difficulty but not very intelligently. Too bad, the game is generally good.

Forspoken is a disappointing game in so many ways. Dated on a whole bunch of points like the visual, it can't keep the player in suspense because of a badly told story and an open world that is unfortunately poor and hopelessly empty overall. The title of Luminous rings hollow despite successful gameplay and a universe that could have been much more generous and provided.

Shadows of Rose offers a short but intense experience where tension is at the RDV. The first part is a little repetitive but the second is quite terrifying with very good ideas! It's a pity that the end and the whole do not bring a real conclusion to the story of the winters.

Ghostwire Tokyo is not a bad game but it sounds hollow when we put down the controller after the few 10h of game he offers. His Tokyo is very beautiful and wonderfully transcribed, the power-based gameplay is effective, but it lacks possibilities and we repeat all the time the same thing and the same actions which makes the overall adventure redundant. In addition, it doesn’t tell much... Too bad, because the theme and the atmosphere are there!

House of Ashes is not a bad game but it will not mark the spirits despite a neat universe and a beautiful atmosphere. Like the previous chapters the game is too short, especially since it takes time to get started, and it suffers from inequalities. The movements are too rigid, the camera angles suffocating and especially the choices seem illusory which removes salt to the experience. In the end we come out with the impression of not having had an impact on the story, even worse of not having really played... Pity!

Biomutant offers real freedom but that does not manage to give you the feeling of embarking on a great journey. The RPG component is very satisfying with many elements to improve our hero, and the mutations are really cool but the gameplay is a bit soft and the overall experience lacks density and finish and it feels a bit hollow under this colorful packaging. A nice game but it lacks scope.

In short, The Medium is a good game with a well-told scenario, tortured and complex characters and its dual reality system is original: the whole is very cinematographic and the relationship to death is well treated. However the gameplay, although charming, is dated which makes that pleasure is a bit wasted. Finally, even if we have a good time, Bloober Team's game is not memorable once finished.

Godfall is a game that features nervous gameplay and an extremely satisfying progression system. It is also sumptuous. Nevertheless, it does not cover much ground and it quickly becomes a repetitive game. In addition, it has technical problems namely frequent falls of framerates which considerably spoil the experience. Too bad!

Little Hope is a good scary game and it seduces with its narration and its very cool atmosphere. The story is interesting, and we take pleasure in being afraid throughout the game. Nevertheless, it suffers from a few faults, such as a little too rigid movement and some stifling camera angles. Moreover, the fact that the choices are somewhat illusory removes interest from the experience. Regardless, we are afraid throughout and that’s what we’re looking for.

WindBound is a nice game, offering a pleasant mystical adventure with a good craft system and an artistic direction that is neat but too repetitive despite good ideas, most borrowed from Zelda Breath of The Wild by the way. The game has a potential that it cannot exploit - it does not go far enough.

Captain Tsubasa Rise of New Champions is a good football game, accessible but not devoid of some subtleties of gameplay that will please the most accustomed. Beyond the Versus and online modes, the nostalgics will be happy to relive the adventures of Tsubasa faithfully traced while the New Heros mode is generous and pushes to chain the matches at the heart of an original story. There are still AI problems in the field that are relatively annoying and things can get repetitive. Overall satisfying.

Maneater is a good blow-off, really fun and very pleasant to take in hand. The game from Tripwire Interactive does not take itself seriously and offers a good dose of black humor and satisfying activities. The evolution system of the shark works perfectly. Nevertheless, the game quickly becomes repetitive and its lifespan lacks generosity. Too bad because it is really nice!

Devil May Cry 3 is still good and this version on Nintendo Switch is a good opportunity to (re)dive into this Dantesque universe. The possibility to change style on the fly brings modernity to the gameplay which is always enjoyable, even if the camera remains capricious. However, even though Devil May Cry 3 is a very good game, it’s starting to show signs of old age visually. Fortunately, Dante for his part, is still in shape!

At first, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is pure stress relief. Full of energy, it generously rewards the zombie frag and pushes the player to go further to collect items, assets and improvements. Sadly, when the initial adrenaline rush fades away, the experience quickly becomes repetitive, even in co-op. All that remains is a very classical action game that won't leave a mark on our minds.

Daymare 1998 looks like a vintage game. Its atmosphere reminds of some great Resident Evil vibes, but we would have more risk taking, because the general proposition deeply lacks identity to pay homage to the series created by Shinji Mikami. Gameplay perhaps a little less rigid and more original ideas would have played in its favor. Nevertheless, the 90’s lovers will feel some old, dusty, but charming memories.

More than 20 years after its released on PlayStation 1, Medievil is back from the dead on PS4. Unfortunately, it looks much more like a remastered version than a full fledged remake. It shines with colorful graphics and spooky atmosphere, but its gameplay remains too rigid, and its mechanics haven't aged well. A title reserved for fans of the license or lovers of Halloween and «The Nightmare Before Christmas».
