Fans of Dead Space or F.E.A.R. will find plenty to enjoy in Metro 2033 and while it doesn't quite tick every box it's a very strong blend of survival horror and shooter.- Boomtown

All the factors that make a good survival horror game are here; the story, the ambience, the tension, the scares and the gore. The formula has been slightly changed though, this game is more of a shooter than its predecessors and there is less puzzle solving, but it works.- Boomtown

It makes it hard to justify paying extra for a game that can be bought cheaper on another console.- Boomtown

Nerve has stuck enough diverse tweaks into the format to make for a thrilling, admittedly more terrifying experience. Resurrection of Evil is a much better game than "Doom III." Trust me.- Boomtown

Planning your offensive and defensive attacks plays a massive role and is essentially where the fun lies.- Boomtown

I think this is a lateral development for the genre. I hail the ambition, I commend the experimentation and I recognise the potential. However, I wish it still didn't sport some of the genre’s silly little annoyances and the whole thing is a little too unbalanced in its execution.- Boomtown

That is perhaps what is largely wrong with FEAR 2: as quintessential a First-Person-Shooter as it is, it doesn't have the heart and soul of games like, for example, Half-Life 2; your character is merely existing in the world rather than living in it, and that's a departure from which even the new quick-time events cannot save it.- Boomtown

The new maps nicely supplement the old ones and the expansion adds plenty of mileage for fans of the game.- Boomtown

But if you don’t already have the other versions and you love your puzzle games, especially this type, you really can’t go wrong here.- Boomtown

Darkness Rising brings a lot of new features to a great MMORPG.- Boomtown

The final marks I'm giving the game reflect my frustration with the defending aspects of the game and the poor implementation of Xbox Live, but if you're a fan of flight action games this is one of the better ones around.- Boomtown

The variety and quality of songs is the finest Sony has given us, though of course that sort of judgement comes down to personal taste.- Boomtown

NCSoft's latest RPG has gotten off to a flying start and will be hoping to steadily gain altitude until it climbs to the lofty heights of long term RPG greatness.- Boomtown

Irregular, often frustrating, boring, not technical enough for simulation addicts, not fun or crazy enough for arcade lovers, despite a few positive aspects The BIGS 2 gives off a lukewarm feeling by taking a middle-of-the-road approach.- Boomtown

Despite appearances it’s mostly a methodical stealth game, and a sniper’s bullet is often more effective than the powers of the mind.- Boomtown

This is a great game and is only let down by the dodgy bit of vehicle control.- Boomtown

It’s really a question of quality over quantity, and though some may balk at the £9.99 price tag for such a short non replayable experience, the actual gameplay reminds us all how platforming should be fun.- Boomtown

The nagging doubt about Multiwinia is that it is possibly too simple and short term – fun to drop into in the odd quiet half-hour, but with no visible form of progression, nothing that you will stick with in the long term.- Boomtown

A funny little gimmick and quite a good party game, but that is all. In itself, it quickly wears out its welcome, even if multiplayer does stand the test of time somewhat better.- Boomtown

- Critic Score
It doesn’t provide an experience – it merely provides the tools with which to make an experience. Therefore your enjoyment is really dependant on whether you’re the type of person who is likely to seek out and become a member of an existing clan, or have enough online friends to create your own. If you’re not, then you’re much better off sticking to the more user friendly Battlefield, or COD: MW2.- Boomtown

If you fully explore the world, and don’t use game guides to find all 100 Ingots, you have more than four hours of game time here. The storyline is much better, and because of all the choices that can be made throughout the game, the replay value alone gives this game extra score. In my honest opinion, any Fallout 3 owner must get this DLC.- Boomtown

The Saboteur was a great concept in an interesting historical period that's deeply broken by bad history, technical issues and poor gameplay choices.- Boomtown

Overall this is a great value game, which will last longer than most other arcade games you buy either from the PlayStation Store, or Live Marketplace. There is something frustratingly addictive about the game, meaning you want to come back for more and beat that high score you’ve just posted.- Boomtown

The utter diversity in gameplay, the sometimes nail-biting tension coupled with the often laugh-out-loud deaths and kills are exactly what makes The Ship into a brilliant, if flawed game, and just the change in scenery that the FPS genre needed.- Boomtown

It is reasonably addictive and is challenging enough to make you want to complete it.- Boomtown

A riotous blast that smacks of old school game mechanics and nonsensical fun.- Boomtown
