Because like all art, it's subjective – I may not know art, but I know what I like. And I don't like this. For something truly "art wothy" try "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem."

In a vacuous bubble, the prospect of combining creatures would create all sorts of wacky experimental fun. But in the context of real-time strategy, it becomes an unnecessary chore.

Barely saved only by its sense of strategy, Lost Kingdoms is a lost cause if you’re not into card games.

Homefront is an ambitious title with a solid idea, but lacked the courage to distance itself from the (media established) king of First Person Shooters.

The idea of WWII espionage and sabotage efforts on the Eastern Front is ripe with possibilities for a game, but Death to Spies bungled the execution on this one.

Unfortunately sometimes when an older game duplicates its own spin-offs the final product is a blatant but poor copy of the worst and the best of the offspring. Such is the case with Blood Omen 2.

All in all, playing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a painful and tedious experience. I would not recommend it except to those with a collection fetish or for the young fans who don’t know any better.

When I was able to get connected, I would often stay connected for three or four matches before something would slip and I'd have to restart the matchmaking process.

Fans will be asking where the hell the Franchise mode went.

Obsessive fans of the show can at least play through for the storyline without tearing out too much hair. And with the extremely simplified gameplay, it seems to be made squarely for fans who don't play much video games. Everyone else can simply leave this on the shelf, with the quiet satisfaction that they haven't paid yet another game company for making yet another crappy game.

I had a certain expectations going into C&C 4 and they was utterly destroyed, even knowing about some of the changes beforehand.

The Baconing isn't completely devoid of enjoyment; occasionally you may stumble upon a fun weapon or two, such as poison arrows or a flamethrower, and the experience system allows you to choose what kind of bonuses to receive with each Level Up (such as faster speed, more health, etc). But without the laughs to back up the mediocre gameplay, not to mention the ludicrous difficulty, it might be time to bring out the oversized shepherd's hook and pull Deathspank off the stage.

NBA 08 feels like an almost finished game.

A huge disappointment. The general concept is decent, but the game never evolves past that. The controls are frustrating, and the aesthetic / story of the game is such a yawn fest that only those with tremendous patience will be able to persevere for more than ten minutes at a time.

You could say that it is a competent video game that fans of the franchise will enjoy. But you could also say that Bakugan fans are goddamned idiots.

You’ll have to be extremely familiar with the controls to have a hope in hell of finishing the game.

Don’t bother with Rock Manager unless you’re a huge music industry fan.

Nothing ruins a fond memory like a crap game.

I hope to God the guys at Firaxis are watching this, because Jagged Alliance: Back In Action is, and probably will for many years hence be, the definitive textbook example of how to mess up by the numbers when attempting to "relaunch" a classic franchise.

Might interest younger gamers and please parents with it’s inoffensiveness, but there are still better games out there for the younger audience.

You sever someone’s head and you need to lob it into a goal! Sounds fun? Yup, right up there with watching grass grow.

Avatar does look awesome (even better, I'm told, when you're playing in Stereoscopic 3D) but there's so little fun here that your money is better spent elsewhere.

It's achingly repetitive.

Critical flaws in a console game are unacceptable, especially when updating (i.e. patching) console games just isn’t done yet.

A clumsy interface as well as an ineffective physical activity, Exerbeat is not the worst offender in this continuously offensive market of unimaginative motion control games, but it offers little value beyond keeping grandma and grandpa entertained during their next visit, though Nintendo's first party efforts are still the clear choice for virtual workouts.

A textbook case of a good idea gone horribly wrong.

Had a lot of potential – graphics are great and the sound is just as good; however, the terrible controls and camera ruin any real fun that could be experienced.

I didn’t have much fun playing Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude and if any old-school adventure fan is thinking about purchasing MCL I’d urge them to re play the old games because they’re more fun.
