Cut the Rope: Time Travel actually seems a bit of a step backward for the franchise after Experiments. It still offers the same great gameplay with loads of levels however so if you're a fan, you can't really go wrong here.

Fish Out Of Water! has an immediate and friendly appeal to its simple gameplay, but a polished interface is not enough to disguise the lack of variety in the gameplay itself - what should be a more-ish 'just one more go' system is buried under a system that rewards luck as much as skill.

Ark of Sinners Advance feels far too loose to pull off its action-platforming, which is a shame because the world you travel in is a delight to explore.

Disconnection issues aside, NVS Wargame can be a hard game to penetrate thanks to a sluggish early campaign and coy AI opponents in the story missions.

Strategy & Tactics: World War II strips back its depth of gameplay in an effort to make things easier to approach, however this simplicity has brought a new set of problems to the table.

We've seen Lumber Jacked and its platforming challenges before, but while it's polished in many respects, some of its bugs and gameplay features threaten to remove the satisfaction of acing its many three-star stages.

Mr. Crab is nothing more or less than a competent, lighthearted, and gorgeously presented platformer you can tackle in bite-sized snacks. It does settle in to a rut early on, but you might not care if you're having enough fun.

Dream Chaser tries to create variety by creating a story mode aside the normal endless runner grind, but its design around a freemium model while being a paid app leaves a bitter taste. The game isn't good enough to break away from the stigma this creates.

When Gemini Rue was released on PC it was a wonderful throwback to the heyday of adventure games with new sensibilities and a fantastic narrative. The translation to iOS has not changed any of this.

An enjoyable little physics platformer that doesn't cling to the traditional way of doing things (see what I did there?).

Mighty Dungeons is a solid and appealing dungeon crawler for those who hate the idea of having to read a novel's-worth of tutorials just to survive the first level - it's a simple hack and slash, and for some that's more than enough.

Dungeon Hunter 4 is the game Dungeon Hunter 3 should have been, but as a result this Action RPG feels like a lumbering, outdated behemoth even despite its gorgeous exterior and unique feeling character classes.

Slayin' knows exactly what it is, an action game with some RPG seasoning to keep the player invested, but after a few plays, you'll see everything this title has to offer you.

Bobbing is a simple, yet refreshing entry into the platforming genre. Why? Because of its circular logic of course!

Injustice: Gods Among Us attempts to whet the appetite of those waiting for the full console release by offering a 'lite' brawler; in a way it succeeds, but without more depth or complexity it's just a pretty distraction.

Duke Nukem 2 may burst with nostalgia, but it was always a fairly clunky side-scrolling shooter and little has changed since its debut in 1993.

Puzzle fans may enjoy Master of Alchemy. It certainly sells its aesthetic, but the finesse required for placement, and the solutions that result from this do not create a cohesive experience.

A defense game with some enjoyable music, but not much else going for it thanks to its freemium design.

The Other Brothers is a beautifully presented and highly unique platforming experience for the iOS platform, but without tighter controls the game goes from challenging to frustrating all too easily; thankfully it's also short, so you won't be entirely infuriated by the experience.

BADLAND doesn't simply look pretty, it's an absolute treat to play as well as you guide flocks of disturbing creatures through a labyrinth of hazards in an attempt to uncover the secret behind its strange pseudo-mechanized world.

Runaway: A Twist of Fate will still appeal to fans of Adventure games and fans of the Runaway series (at least those who haven't already played this title), but it's control quirks and its lack of transparent gameplay makes it hard to recommend to those newer to the genre.

It's easy to see why the intensely engaging Dungeon Hearts attracted the attention of a studio like Devolver Digital, but with crashes eating up progress it's hard to fall in love with the excellent title on offer.

This isn't quite the Magicka you may already know and love, but it doesn't matter - this is 2D brawling taken to the next level and the free-form magic system means you'll always have a novel way to dispatch the goons (and even friends) around you.
