Give the game an inch however, and it'll steal a mile; Oh, My Word! 2 is deceptively good fun. Word-puzzle fans shouldn't think twice about snapping this up.

Starball is the App Store's very own downloadable form of heroin, just without all the horrible complications. Starball is concentrated fun that gets into the bloodstream quicker than a vodka shot to the eye.

Unfortunately SEED amounts to little more than a myriad of fetch quests strung together with badly scripted narrative and horrendous dialogue.

I really like what Fallen is trying to do. I like its premise and direction -- it's just that the game is let down in its execution.

Guerrilla Bob is a non-stop gun-slinging assault on the senses. If it didn't play so competently, the game might come off as brash or annoying, but, it doesn't, and comes out smelling of roses.

The most important thing you should take away from this review, however, is that you can dismember the zombies limb by limb with your shotgun, as a Monk, in a chapel, on your iPhone.

A brilliant entry point for others who have yet to embark on such adventures.

In a genre that's held hostage by insipid mechanics and decaying conventions, Mobile Pie have created a game that feels fresh, but at the same time familiar in all the right places.

The beauty of this pricing structure is that I can recommend the basic game to anyone to see if they like it enough to spend more. It could be said that you're paying for a demo, but that would be unfairly cynical on what is a rather outstanding game to begin with.

Rayman 2 the Great Escape should stay on platforms akin to those for which it was intended, because this is essentially locking it back up behind bars to reminisce about sitting on the floor in front of the TV with a joypad in its magical floating hands.

Street Fighter IV on iPhone can still be considered a success, and Capcom really do deserve a medal for pulling it off. I thought it couldn't be done, and I'll happily admit I was wrong.

The Hero is super easy to pick up; this low entry level and the universally appealing super hero genre tag make it an outstanding purchase for almost anyone at the suprisingly low £1.19 price tag.

What you should take away is that what you get out of the game will depend on how much you enjoy listening to music, and not much else.

Ultimately this game is best avoided. Technical problems and lacklustre gameplay have ensured that Iron Man 2 may be Gameloft's biggest fall from grace to date.

It's average, its standard, its borderline moderate. It's kind of a generic medium regular.

A great game and a worthy addition to the growing number of fighters on the iPhone. It shows that 3D fighters are possible and it's a great homage to the Dragon himself that he finally gets a game which celebrates his life.

Shrek fans will lap this decent game licence up and probably forgive the odd control and camera issues in favour of the story and voice acting. Kids in particular will love this game, but for most of us older gamers the action will be over before the fat Ogre roars.

For less than a couple of pounds you can indulge in your own Predator fantasies for a few hours. This, the satisfying kills and the detailed graphics save the game from being forgettable and make it worth downloading if you're a fan of the franchise.

With two different difficulty settings and Crystal support there's plenty of re-play value when you've finished the game and only the slightly dodgy dialogue and bad humour stands in the way of making this a classic app.

So here's the thing; if you think you can cope with dodgy controls and annoying restarts and want to witness something of a minor miracle for gaming on the iPhone then Prince of Persia Warrior Within is worth downloading.

The best feature, however, is the inclusion of animals which litter the course.

The game plays well and there's fun to be had from spraying the enemy's blood across the floor in varying ways, but ultimately Hero of Sparta II feels slightly vacant, as if something was missing from the formula.
