It comes as quite a pleasant surprise that Wild ARMs 4 is actually better in regards to its platforming, adventuring and puzzles than it is its combat, but when considered altogether these parts equate to one finely crafted and unique RPG that fans of both the series and the genre as a whole would do well to pick up.

With the absence of "Tetris" on the PSP, PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient is a great puzzle game for your PSP.

Robotron 2084 is true to the original and many regard that as one of the best games ever made - but with most other retro games offering some sort of overhauled main mode and the classic alongside it, recommending this is hard for players who simply want more then a port.

The AI itself is quite charactersome, nattering incessantly to you throughout the match, sometimes making scathing remarks on your inability to play chess and sometimes just uttering random remarks, such as Mrs Doubtfire impersonations amongst many others. But even that exuberant façade cannot hide the fact that behind Fritz Chess 9 is very little new material besides engine updates.

The inclusion of local multiplayer and leaderboards to compare your stats against other players is also an added bonus that can motivate some to keep playing until they're at the top of the list.

For all but Monopoly, the translation to digital has been handled very well, and the speed and simplicity of play allows for pretty good replay value.

You can easily play it online or with a real deck of cards for free, and Spades offers little incentive to spend money on a digital version of it with a deserted online community and a lacklustre single player mode.

There are things like loading times that can annoy from time to time, and the graphical blurs can be a pain, but the amount of gameplay and content here is fantastic, and to be able to customise your house's interior on the move in full 3D really does appeal.

The biggest problem with Prince of Persia: Revelations is that it has no longevity once you've completed the admittedly lengthy adventure through once.

The game is slow to play and the timing system can make that even slower, World War III will start more times than you'll be able to count and a fully destructible environment isn't worth much when you are supposed to be stealthy.

Like the fabulous Olsen twins, Tokobot is undeniably sweet and, indeed, over in a flutter of an eyelid due to the lack of any alternate modes. However, not to sample the sheer splendour of Tokobot's level design and the arrant magnificence (running out of words that mean 'good', here!) of the innovative execution would be imbecilic.

An absolutely essential purchase for every DS owner, and I defy anyone to play it for a week and not to become completely and utterly addicted to it.

Except for the mildly annoying audio elements and certain segments of the story mode getting bogged down with too much uninteresting dialogue, Mario Tennis: Power Tour really is a game you have to nitpick at in order to find any weaknesses.

Mario Smash Football isn't trying to be a simulator, it's an all-out arcade style game that's huge fun while it lasts, and while it will make a great addition to your collection, the novelty and fun might wear thin a little sooner than you'd hoped.

Uninspired and unoriginal, but not entirely without merit.

I have some difficulty calling it a role-playing game at all; there are no side missions available and there's no real sense of wonder to sweeten the generally bitter experience of playing through it. The story is incoherent, the graphics are outdated and the battle system, the most important feature of the entire game, is also extremely boring.

Sure, there is plenty of content and replay value to be found here, but when the entire gameplay composition and technical makeup are so miserably flawed, the abundance of game modes, cars and tracks is completely useless.

It's too easy, it looks and sounds merely adequate and the combat sections are painful to experience.
