Similar to the last outing [the story levels] may be tough to get through, but they are a bit on the short side.

Yet another treat from Square. It manages to perfectly balance a unique blend of RPG and action all in the same game without losing its focus on exploration.

Well, while the graphics certainly cannot compare to the movie, the gameplay is very good and the story plays out in videogame format quite nicely. There is a lot to see and do while guiding Buzz around in this fantasyland of toys.

Yeah, the graphics are kinda crunchy and dated compared to what we have become accustomed to today, but the sound effects, music and the awesome storylines are enough to drive these titles into the stratosphere. It would be downright criminal for any self-respecting RPGer to deprive themselves of these epic adventures.

Great graphics and decent sound effects really make this game fun. With all those different modes, reasonable number of characters, 84 different costumes, and hundreds of moves, I don’t know how this game could get boring.

Every level has to be earned…every damn level…but there is also a distinct feeling of accomplishment that comes with this type of challenge and I certainly welcomed it every step of the way.

A really top of the line shooter. I haven't had this much fun with a game of this type since "Nanotek Warriors". The graphics are gorgeous, the sound effects effective and the level design and missions a blast to play through.

A solid RPG with a good story containing many twists and turns. The characters are a little too cutesy for my taste, but are adequate for the story.

I wouldn’t say it is the best FPS available for the PS2 right now, but it is certainly in the top three and quite an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Seemed kind of weird at first, being that this character is such an “in your face” type of fighter, but the whole stealth thing works and ends up creating a whole new facet to the gameplay.

The learning curve is perfect and the courses are nice and long with plenty of shortcuts to lob off those precious seconds of your time.

This game is tougher than you would think. It’s not a mindless game of casting and bringing in fish after fish. You need to carefully plan a course of attack.

It’s all great fun for the first few days and highly addictive but then you gradually slip away from the game and get on with real life. Just remember this… a dolls house is for playing with, but a Sim is for life!

The sheer amount of geometry being thrown about to depict the cities and areas being driven through (literally) is also quite impressive.

It may not appeal to the hard core arcade racing fans out there, but for the more simulation minded gamers out there that appreciate a touch of arcade action, this title is sure to please.

The graphics are sweet, and the racing is sweeter still. Its pure, unashamed, high-energy fun, and it lasts for ages!

A nice change of pace for fighting games. Only downside we see is the number of combos you would have to memorize, but that would all come in time and repetition of gameplay.

Worth a play… even if it’s just to experience the outrageously frightening “Haunted House” section towards the end of the game. Meanwhile, first timers to the town of Silent Hill will reap much reward and lots of scares in the process.

About the only downside to Defender is the games overall length…it is rather short and can probably be finished in one or two sittings by veteran players.

While SmackDown is still quite a long way from matching the visual peaks reached by other highly popular fighting series (Tekken, DOA, Soul Blade…), there have been massive strides in the right direction with this fourth instalment from the THQ/Yule team.

Probably one of the toughest titles released for the PS2 and right up there with the other games in the Contra series.

Even the cockney pedestrians fail to hold back the punches with gems such as “Oi, get off the road you fu**in’ w**ker!” It all adds up to a game that rolls along at the speed of a Guy Ritchie movie (minus the humour) with a couple of "Reservoir Dogs" torture scenes added for good measure.

For all the greatness though, I still walked away from Rally Fusion feeling like something just wasn’t right and it bothers me that I just couldn’t place my finger on it.

A nice package, though certainly not as good as EA or Sega’s version.

While better than "Time Crisis" in many areas, it falls short in one very important area… longevity.

The gameplay is fluid and clean. The players resemble their real-life counterparts as well as act like them. This game has all the features of a true soccer match.

There is much less blood and gore in this game than is usually seen in games of this nature and those looking for a game with a story line with not all of the killing will find this game a welcome change.

It suited my short passing style (didn’t much fancy 2002 tho) and there were just a few niggles with the gameplay that left you feeling this could have been better.
