Still haven’t played Resident Evil after all these years? This is the perfect moment to try it. Don’t expect an easy game, but a wondrously horrid atmosphere in one of the groundbreaking titles of the horror – survival genre. In comparison with the Gamecube version, you won’t get a lot of new things, but this classic doesn’t need many extra’s.- 9Lives

Dead To Rights Retribution can be considered one of the better action games of the year. It’s bloody and brutal, gameplay and controls feel good and the switches between Jack and Shadow help to fight off repetitiveness. If you don’t like blood and extreme violence, stay away from this game, but they are bountiful in the game. Recommended for those who like over-the-top action.- 9Lives

Napoleon: Total War adds a few important changes. The new reinforcement system and the multiplayer definitely add to the game. The lack of freedom and different factions may detract from the replayability though. You wouldn’t be making a wrong decision to buy this game, but it’s stagnation more than revival after Empire. The next game will have to prove if Total War can be brought back to (new) life.- 9Lives

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is heading back into the right direction, but there's not a lot of progress yet again. It still faces a few problems and its competition, Fifa, is running away. Fans will definitely enjoy this game, but the regular football lover will probably be better off with Fifa.- 9Lives

FIFA Manager 2010 is too shallow as a purely tactical coaching game to entice the real fans of the genre. However, the game has so many other aspects to lure in the more casual gamer. If you can create a gaming experience that suits you from all the possible options, then this game is worth a purchase.- 9Lives

SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny is a wonderful fighting game for the PlayStation Portable. It equals the number of fighters in SoulCalibur IV and the quality of fighting resembles that game as well. The lack of a real storyline and online multiplayer hurt it though. If you don’t care for these two features, feel free to add five percent to the score.- 9Lives

Aliens Versus Predator offers a good mix of tension, horror and stealth, which fans of the series will definitely appreciate. Gameplay is fun and extensive thanks to the different play styles of the three races. Multiplayer matches are hectic in a good way and audio-visually, the game delivers. Single player is short though and the shady balance between the three races messes things up sometimes. Luckily, that doesn’t detract from the game too much. If you’re into hectic fights and if massive amounts of blood don’t deter you, then try Aliens vs Predator.- 9Lives

Freekscape: Escape from Hell is worth its money as a PS Mini. It’s a challenging puzzle-platformer with long longevity and replayability. Aside from a few niggles (such as jumps going wrong), you can be sure to spend a few hours with this game.- 9Lives

Brütal Legend is the perfect ode to heavy metal. Everything reminds you of the music genre and that's how the game sucks you in effortlessly. Once you come into contact with the gameplay however, some notes are a bit off key. In order for the group to top the charts in the future, it would be a good idea to kick out the bass player (RTS) and to give the spotlight to the lead singer (hack&slash).- 9Lives

Monsters (probably) stole my princess is an addictive game, which is way too short unfortunately. You will spend some time trying to get the top scores and the perfect combos, so because of this and its low price, it's definitely worth a shot.- 9Lives

Hustle Kings is a excellent pool game with sublime graphics, intuitive controls and an extensive multiplayer. The degree of finishing and the amount of options are recommendable for such a cheap PSN game. Boredom quickly sets in in the single player though, making this mostly a game for pool fanatics who want to challenge others online.- 9Lives

Need for Speed: Shift puts EA in the right direction, but they haven’t quite gotten there yet. We suspect the name to quickly change to Need for Speed: Drift. The badge system, the race-missions and the presentation are nice, but looking at the most important part – gameplay – the game is still lacking. Unfortunately, Need for Speed: Shift will see the competition drive off in the distance.- 9Lives

MySims Agents is without a doubt the best of the series and manages to appeal to a wide audience. Don't let the childish appearance fool you, because the game will hook you for several hours. The actual gameplay is perhaps a tad repetitive and the missions a bit linear, but it's packaged beautifully and served with a catchy story, that the whole comes recommended.- 9Lives

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World has finally walked its way to Europe. Fans of the original will have to get used to some changes, but all in all it’s a worthy sequel with a well-written – albeit slow – story. The fighting system is decent, although the option to tame beasts feels a bit superfluous, despite their use in battle. Visually, it’s full of atmosphere, where it gets the aid of the music and the voice acting. If you’re looking for an RPG and you haven’t imported the American version, then this game isn’t a bad choice. Do know that it ’s not perfect.- 9Lives

James Cameron's Avatar: The Game for Wii is mostly a teaser for the movie or an extra for after you’ve seen that movie. It’s not a great game, but doesn’t disappoint either. The atmosphere on Pandora and the rage against the intruders carry this title. If you don’t mind a rather low pace in your game, then you might as well ignore the repetition in the Wii Remote-swinging.- 9Lives

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will definitely please the fans of the series. The average player will stumble over the annoying radial and the difficulty. If you really want to enjoy this game, we suggest you go for the pc multiplayer, which undoubtedly will play more fluently than any console version.- 9Lives

The Munchables is a typical game for in between. Empty your mind and eat everything that comes in your way. It could've lasted longer, but it was a fun ride while it lasted. Namco Bandai is hopefully working on a sequel or maybe even a new Pacman, because there are a lot of possibilities with this gameplay.- 9Lives

All in all, Toki Tori is a wonderful puzzler, giving you hours of entertainment. Looking for something to play on your netbook or laptop while heading for school, work or friends? Toki Tori is a good choice, especially considering its 4 euro price tag. Also recommended as a Steam present if you have friends that love this genre.- 9Lives

Codemasters can finally please all the Formula One-fans with a new game. It doesn’t disappoint, but doesn’t wow either. Real fans will have plenty to do with all the official tracks and cars. Someone looking for a simple racing experience will not entirely be satisfied. You can do a quick race, but a championship will be one of the long haul, requiring plenty of time per race.- 9Lives

Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH isn’t aimed at every gamer. It’s mainly for the puzzle fan who wants to prove that he can tackle that darned cube very fast. It’s mainly for the seventy puzzles you’ll want to buy this, because it’s more satisfying to complete the cube with your own two hands.- 9Lives

GSC Game World delivers the best game in the franchises with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. For many gamers it’ll feel like coming home because the developer has finally shown ‘The Zone’ as it should have been all along. Despite bugs and flaccid textures, everything is used to create the atmosphere in and around Tsjernobyl again. Fans of the series will be able to sigh a breath of releief and enjoy the moody setting. Even gamers who haven’t heard of this series before will enjoy it. Welcome to The Zone.- 9Lives

The total package is tasty, but not entirely satisfactory, after completing all the missions. The motion sensitive controls are perhaps not the best option, but they are the most fun. A bit of imagination gets you far, but the execution of the spectacular moves are handled by the game itself. If you want a decent flight sim on Wii - despite it arcade-ish feel - don't hesitate to buy this one.- 9Lives

Section 8 is a decent shooter which doesn’t really excel in a particular field. If you’re craving multiplayer and teamwork, the game won’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a game with a deep story, a beautiful single-player campaign and run-and-gun tactics, move along.- 9Lives

Pop Island is a very simple game that revolves entirely around Capture The Flag. Because the game can be shared with seven other friends, that makes it a wonderful multiplayer-game. The matches are short, but pretty intense and chaotic. Odenis Studios has not forgotten those who fly solo, and also offers them a nice experience for only 500 DSi Points.- 9Lives

Adding a storyline was an attempt to meet the requirements of the action-oriented gamers. The essence is still reconnaissance of the ocean though. Varied locations, new objects, improved graphics and the possibility to go on land, give Endless Ocean 2 plenty of innovation compared to its predecessor. If you are not looking for a challenge, but if you merely want to study sea life, then this is the perfect to dream away on after a long and stressful day.- 9Lives

Yakuza 3 does a couple of things quite well. The cutscenes are nice; it’s a atmospheric Japanese game and there’s plenty to do. Still, the game carries tads of problems along, despite / because its one year delay. In-game, the graphics and the depiction of the story are lamentable, especially compared to what recent games have accomplished. Some stuff needs to be re-examined so that the series is up to speed with the current standard in games.- 9Lives

Beat Hazard is a rather traditional Asteroids clone, with the fun addition that your own music can influence the game. Whoever thinks this suffices, will enjoy this game as a way to pass the time. However, the game does not contain the originality we have expected from indie games, and the influence of your own music could’ve been way better.- 9Lives
