It looks fantastic, it sounds great and it rewards thoughtful explorers – unfortunately the fighting system as well as the story can’t keep up with the technical achievements.

Enormous content, great fanservice and a lot of attention to detail: The Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a prime example for what a remaster should offer.

Yet again Utawarerumono remains a solid, but still very unspectacular mixture of visual novel and tactics roleplaying game.

A large chunk of the atmosphere as well as parts of the playability of this at its core still great rpg are destroyed by the abysmal technical conversion.

The comic source is staged nicely, but despite the audiovisual appeal, the storytelling doesn’t offer anything exciting and is enhanced by dreary shooter action.

Although the heroes are interesting on many levels, the action is not diversified enough, is missing tactical options as well as technical finetuning.

Small problems as well as the not consequently modernized, but extremely hardware-hungry visuals are annoying - but despite all of this you still experience a thrilling gangster drama.

An tragicomedy with a beautiful narrative, great art design and a convincing protagonist. In terms of gameplay it is not a lot to be found here, though.

The mechanical core of the third Saints excursion is still intact, while the visuals are more polished and the framerate on consoles is finally stable. Nonetheless Saints Row: The Third lost some of its mojo in 2020 compared to the impact in 2011.

Despite small restrictions on consoles in terms of control, Ion Fury still is a great old-school-shooter.
