    BIT.TRIP BEAT feels like a divisive game – creative, right brain types will likely appreciate the game for its art and can look past the flaws. Logical, left brain types will struggle with the game's flaws to enjoy the core product. I find myself in the latter crowd, struggling to enjoy a game that is alternately brilliant and frustrating.

Even the audio is great-subtle, dramatic music coupled with good sound effects. Sadly, though, the technical issues along with the lack of replay value keep Warheads from its full potential.

The gameplay is good fun and the upgrades and economy sides of the game add something new to this genre, and it works very well. But, the more competitive players may get a little frustrated by the in-app purchases. It seems a subject that iOS game developers still haven't quite got their heads completely around, yet.

    Sticky Linky is pretty straight forward. Levels may be slightly different throughout but the format never changes amongst the 54 stages included. Fortunately, that's not really needed as Sticky Linky serves its purpose well. A steady supply of achievements further the cause for keeping players happy during their quick bursts of gaming, although long sessions may highlight the repetitious nature of the game.

    I’m glad that Hyper Light Drifter is on mobile, but it doesn’t exactly seem like a great fit. Between the slow ramp up and performance problems, it’s probably best to play this game elsewhere if you can. If you can’t, it’s still possible to enjoy the game on iOS. I did, but I probably would have had more fun with it on console or PC, assuming those versions don’t have similar issues.
