There's nothing crucially wrong with Secret Journeys: Cities of the World HD exactly, it's just all too uninteresting to really grab players away from the likes of Big Fish Games' selection.

There is nothing funny about making something bad on purpose and asking people to play it.

This adventure game may take a moment to distinguish itself, but once it does it is a nice and affecting tale. [Provisional Score = 80]

You shouldn’t play Bloodshore until it gets patched. Even if you do, it’s a somewhat middling experience that buries its most fascinating bits along its margins.

Aside from some nice art, there’s not a whole lot to enjoy about Very Little Nightmares. From top to bottom, the game feels poorly conceived. It doesn’t work as a horror tone-piece, a puzzle game, or a mobile experience, which is a pretty big problem if you’re trying to make a horror-themed puzzle game on mobile.

Tap! Captain Star is a foul combination. It’s equal parts mind-numbing clicker and super-aggressive ad machine. I can’t think of a single good reason for anyone to play it.

This dungeon crawler offers an interesting change of pace, but suffers from too many technical issues.

Aside from the mildly interesting conceit, Ammo Pigs doesn’t have a lot going for it. It feels old and thin, and does very little to make what is there feel interesting or nostalgic. There are droves of better 2D action platformers on the App Store, most of which will leave more of an impression on you than Ammo Pigs will.

Disney Heroes is a bad cash-in game that fails to demonstrate the creativity or charm of Disney movies.

Aside from a neat idea and some nice visuals, BOMBARIKA is a complete mess. Both technically and creatively, the game feels half-baked. All the while, the game is trying to hit you up to give it more money. On pretty much all fronts, there’s not much to enjoy about BOMBARIKA.

Top to bottom, Dungeon Hunter Champions is a mess. It has tons of ideas going on, and some of them actually have some potential to make for a great experience, but Gameloft seems to use them exclusively to exploit players' loot lust in an effort to squeeze money out of them. What little there is to appreciate here is better found elsewhere, so don’t even bother checking this game out, even though it looks nice.

From top to bottom, Warhammer Quest 2 is a disappointing game. Its combat feels old, its systems unremarkable, its visuals stilted, and its performance unstable. On top of this, the whole game plays extremely slowly, which just adds to the suffering of playing through it. Don’t bother with it.

Age of Solitaire is a really hard game to recommend. It's a pretty game, but it's otherwise a version of Solitaire that is muddied with ads, consumable in-app purchases, and a relatively lifeless civilzation-building visual layer.

Valerian: City of Alpha's attempts to deliver stories from Valerian's universe are undercut by its gameplay, and its gameplay is clunky and slow.

There isn't really much to like about Dark Universe Stories. It's a game of dialogue, story, and puzzles, and all three are underwhelming. Considering the quality of Night School Studio's past work, I was hoping they could make a cool licensed game, but they fail to deliver even when trying to play to their strengths.

Skullgirls is a flashy-looking game that is pretty miserable to actually play. It's combat feels a little too simple, and your success seems determined more by lucky Relic rewards than skill. Add to this the fact that this is a fighting game with no multiplayer component, and there's very little reason to actually pick Skullgirls up.

There's really nothing redeeming about Gangstar New Orleans. It's a bad GTA game with no personality, terrible free-to-play mechanics, representation issues, and a boatload of bugs. Just don't bother with this game at all. There's no reason to.

Fieldrunners Attack! is a game that is ostensibly about strategic base management and combat, but it fails to deliver on both fronts. Moreover, it doesn't make particularly good use of anything that made Fieldrunners appealing in the first place. Across the board, Fieldrunners Attack! is a very disappointing game.
