28 Mother Schmuckers

(#9) With a name like Mother Schmuckers it can't possibly be good. And it isn't. The low-budget, gross-out Belgian comedy from first-time directors Harpo and Lenny Guit follows two immature brothers on a search for their mother's missing dog in Brussels. The film goes out of its way to be offensive, and unequivocally succeeds at that goal. (Among numerous lowlights: There's a scene filled with bestiality, and if you notice the main characters wearing a shit-eating grin, there's a very literal reason for it.) But even a handful of decent physical comedy moments observed by a few reviewers weren't enough to wash the bad taste away. It's likely 2022's most offensive film.
