(#1) Perhaps best known as the wife of former Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin, Louise Linton is the quadruple threat—with an emphasis on the latter word—behind 2021's worst comedy and lowest-scoring film overall. She directs, writes, produces, and stars in Me You Madness, an over-stylized, would-be black comedy (and Promising Young Woman ripoff) in which Linton plays a foul-mouthed, spider-eating hedge fund manager who also happens to be a cannibalistic serial killer who targets men. Do the characters repeatedly break the fourth wall and talk to the audience about the movie they are watching? You bet! Is that fun or funny? No chance!
“We keep waiting for something interesting to happen, not just narratively, but on the level of character. But all Me You Madness has to offer are poorly written rants, indifferently staged action, and ill-conceived comedy. In the end, it doesn’t even deliver on the madness.” —Bilge Ebiri, Vulture
