The 15 Worst Movies of 2020
Above are the lowest-scoring films released in the United States between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Films are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades given by top professional critics) prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 4 reviews are excluded. All scores are from December 26, 2020.
(#6) Theoretically a prequel to the hit 1970s ABC drama series Fantasy Island, Jeff Wadlow's film puts a horror twist on the show's be-careful-what-you-wish-for formula and stars Michael Peña in the role of Mr. Roarke originated by Ricardo Montalban. Critics found its PG-13 scares too tame, and the film utterly devoid of any other redeeming qualities.
“This, really, is what happens when you take all the wrong lessons out of film school.” —Glenn Kenny, The New York Times
