The 15 Worst Movies of 2020
Above are the lowest-scoring films released in the United States between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Films are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades given by top professional critics) prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 4 reviews are excluded. All scores are from December 26, 2020.
(#2) Despite a career filled with red Metascores, director (and, for the first time here, writer) Dennis Dugan never had a film score as low as 11 until late this year, when his newest rom-com graced (is that the word?) screens big and small. Despite a decent cast led by Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons, the film failed to deliver on either the comedy front or the romance, according to reviewers.
“The title promises disaster, and the movie delivers: Love, Weddings & Other Disasters is a witless, charmless, barely-written, indifferently acted, hideously shot, and generally odious waste of 90 minutes.” —Alonso Duralde, The Wrap
