The 15 Worst Movies of 2020
Above are the lowest-scoring films released in the United States between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Films are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades given by top professional critics) prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 4 reviews are excluded. All scores are from December 26, 2020.
(#12) Compared (unfavorably) by critics to the likes of Attack the Block, Goosebumps, and Jeepers Creepers 2, the latest entry in the subgenre of horror films with teen protagonists centers on a group of students whose schoolbus driver takes them on an ill-fated shortcut that pits them against a serial killer known as "The Tongue Eater" and a bat-monster. Be grateful that they didn't take the long way home.
“Based solely on its own merits, Shortcut is both an amateurish production and a mindless genre exercise.” —Simon Abrams, RogerEbert.com
