The 15 Worst Movies of 2016
Below are the lowest-scoring films released in the United States between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Films are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades given by top professional critics) prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 7 reviews are excluded.
This somehow higher-scoring sequel to the critically panned 2014 faith-based hit stars Melissa Joan Hart as a high school teacher who lands in legal trouble for discussing Jesus in her classroom. It also features the final on-screen appearance by the late actor/politician Fred Thompson.
"There are serious movies about the Christian faith, about the persecution of the faithful, and about the intolerance that goes both ways. God's Not Dead 2 is not one of them." — Sheila O'Malley, RogerEbert.com
