10 Films to See in February
The shortest month of the year is typically an uninspiring one at the cineplex. But this February is not without its intriguing releases, including a well-reviewed new horror film from Key & Peele's Jordan Peele, one of the best documentaries in recent memory, the year's only Polish vampire musical (so far), an Oscar-nominated animated tale, and sequels to recent successes like John Wick and The LEGO Movie.
At the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, Malik Vitthal’s debut feature won the audience award in the low-budget NEXT section of the festival. Dreams never made it to theaters, but audiences will finally get to see the well-reviewed film on Netflix next week. The Watts-set drama stars a pre-Force Awakens John Boyega as a father newly released from prison on probation. He tries to make a better life for his young son while battling the systemic obstacles placed in front of him.
