Below you can find details on the most notable TV debuts this summer (both new and returning shows), ordered by date. For more premiere dates and details on every upcoming show (including those not profiled here), visit our 2017 TV Premiere Calendar.
Like fellow FX drama series The Americans, the John Singleton-created Snowfall is set in the 1980s—but this is a very different look at the decade. Here, the focus is on the rise of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in 1983, and some of the people (on both sides of the law) who are caught up in it. Though an earlier version of the show reportedly failed to impress network executives, a major retooling seems to have fixed things, with the series rumored to be nearing a 2nd season renewal already.
