Aside from forming a great Gen X comedy double feature with Reality Bites, Cameron Crowe's 1992 film Singles captures Seattle's grunge scene just as it was crossing over into the mainstream. Helping to popularize the genre was the original Singles soundtrack album, a massive hit (with tracks from Screaming Trees, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and more) that is now getting a greatly expanded re-release for its 25th anniversary. A new second disc will include previously unreleased rarities from the likes of Mudhoney, Chris Cornell, and Paul Westerberg.
