Yance Ford’s feature documentary debut investigates her brother’s violent death and, as a result, reveals the history and tragedy of her family—from the Jim Crow South to the potential of New York City; from the apparent safety of middle class suburbs to the violent death of William Ford, Jr. At Sundance, the film won a Special Jury Prize for Storytelling, and it has received excellent early reviews.
