BONUS: Shenmue III

Release date: tbd

Tentatively scheduled for a very late 2018 release (which we all know really means 2019), this crowdfunded sequel to the Dreamcast open-world action-RPG games Shenmue and Shenmue II, both groundbreaking but expensive commercial failures that went on to gain a cult following, comes from original series creator Yu Suzuki. Shenmue III's 2015 Kickstarter campaign raised over $2 million in its first day (and a then-record $6.3 million total), and while progress has been made on the game's development, updates have been infrequent in recent months. Deep Silver will publish the game, which will be available for both PS4 and PC.
