Exclusive to PC and Xbox, this co-op multiplayer pirate sim hails from Rare, the now-Microsoft-owned studio behind such titles as Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark.
Behind its cartoony design, Rare's most ambitious game to date will feature both exploration and combat aspects. The former involves quite a bit of sailing (and you and your fellow crewmates can share duties ranging from opening sails to steering), and the goal of the latter is, naturally, to obtain treasure. Expect a ton of humor—and quite possibly a bit of drinking—along the way.
Rare has designed the progression system to ensure that you and your friends can effectively remain on equal footing whenever you play together, regardless of any discrepancies in game experience. Cross-play between the two platforms (XB1 and PC) is also possible. (Yes, you can also play solo if that's your thing, though you will still inhabit a shared world with other players.)
