What to Watch in October: 22 Notable TV Shows & Streaming Movies
The month ahead will bring the highly anticipated return of HBO hit Succession, Denis Villeneuve's long-delayed Dune movie, a prequel to The Sopranos, and (unsurprisingly) a lot of horror. In the gallery on this page, our editors have selected the most interesting TV and movie titles debuting at home in the next month, listed in order by premiere date.
Season 2 debuts October 28 on HBO Max
The first season of HBO Max's anthology romance series didn't really impress critics, but that's the beauty of an anthology: You get to start from scratch the following year. Love Life's 10-episode second season finds The Good Place's William Jackson Harper playing a man forced to re-enter the dating pool after his seemingly perfect years-long relationship comes to an end. Jessica Williams, Chris Powell, Punkie Johnson, and Ego Nwodim are also regulars this season, while Blair Underwood, Nick Thune, Leslie Bibb, and season 1 star (and series producer) Anna Kendrick will also appear. The episodes will arrive in three weekly batches beginning with a three-episode premiere.
