18 TV Shows to Watch in October

Season 2 debuts October 23 on Hulu. Lizzy Caplan and Tim Robbins head the cast for the completely different second season of Hulu's Stephen King anthology series. The former plays Annie Wilkes, the antagonist from King's novel Misery (famously portrayed by Kathy Bates in the 1990 film adaptation), in a season that dives into her back story and that of her daughter (Eighth Grade's Elsie Fisher). Robbins plays the head of the Merrill crime family, Reginald "Pop" Merrill, while Paul Sparks plays John "Ace" Merrill (the Kiefer Sutherland role in Stand by Me). It is possible you may also see some returning faces from last season in bit parts (since the location remains in the titular Castle Rock, Maine), but it looks like none of last year's characters will be featured this season.
