Season 5 debuts November 9 on Netflix
The fifth of what will eventually be six seasons of Netflix's Emmy-winning period drama—yes, it's fiction—about the life of Queen Elizabeth II brings another cast overhaul as the story jumps forward in time to the mid-1990s and the eventual death of Princess Diana (which will happen, offscreen, next season). Diana is now played by Elizabeth Debicki and Imelda Staunton takes over as the Queen, while Jonathan Pryce now plays Prince Philip, Lesley Manville is Princess Margaret, and Jonny Lee Miller portrays new Prime Minister John Major. Also starring this season, as then-Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, are Dominic West and Olivia Williams, respectively, while the former's real-life son Senan West plays Prince William as a teenager (though not until the end of the season).
