Rian Johnson’s sequel to his 2019 hit Knives Out finds detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) on a Greek island owned by billionaire tech guru Miles Bron (Edward Norton). The guests include a former supermodel (Kate Hudson), her assistant (Jessica Henwick), a conservative media influencer (Dave Bautista), the governor of Connecticut (Kathryn Hahn), a scientist (Leslie Odom Jr.) working for Miles, and Miles’ former business partner (Janelle Monáe). When a murder mystery game turns into an actual murder (or more), you know who can solve it. Is it as good as the original Benoit Blanc outing? It’s close in terms of Metascore, so the debate will surely continue as the film moves from theaters to Netflix in December.
