Rescheduled from October. The latest artsy indie from Annapurna Interactive is the second game from Hyper Light Drifter creator Heart Machine. Their new game looks similar in some ways, but adds a third dimension and dialogue, among other changes. Movement is a major emphasis of the platformer-style gameplay as you glide your character, Rei, across various surfaces in the colorful, nearly-open-world environment. But it's not just skating through space (or, technically, the "Ultravoid"); Solar Ash also features moments of rapid-fire combat. The game is designed to be approachable for all gamers, but that doesn't mean it's easy; perfecting your fluid, graceful movements and attack combinations takes practice.
