New comedy series debuts May 6 on Peacock. Produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, Peacock's latest original series centers on a short-lived, all-girl pop group from the '90s that reunites in the present day to pursue a final chance at stardom after their one and only hit is sampled by a rapper. The series comes from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt writer Meredith Scardino and stars Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, Ashley Park (a Tony nominee for Fey's Mean Girls stage adaptation), Grammy winner Sara Bareilles, and Broadway star Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton). Expect to hear some original, full-length songs throughout the season, courtesy of Fey's frequent composer (and all-the-time husband) Jeff Richmond as well as Bareilles. All eight episodes will be available to binge on day one.
